The Promise

Constance is ready to get to work with Tom Mulcair’s NDP team to:– take back our coast by stopping environmentally-

hazardous oil pipeline development projects;– tackle household debt with plans for affordable

childcare and housing; and– defend public health care and reverse Harper’s

$36-billion funding cut.

• As your candidate for Vancouver Centre, I am committed to being a part of the community in which I proudly serve.

• Here are some events I’ve attended and some I will be attending. Please come and feel free to discuss what you want your NDP to do both locally and federally.

This mile-long walk-a-thon, aptly named Walk a Mile in My Shoes which will take place on June 6 at Sunset Beach, aims to raise $30,000 for services to assist LGBT refugees to come to Canada and adapt to Canadian life.

Read more about this important cause here. I’ll be there!

Supporting Access to Justice BC SocietyThe basic concept of the pro bono program is to provide a professional setting in which lawyers give 2-4 hours of their time free per month to help those who cannot obtain legal help elsewhere. Excellent!

Raised over $20,000 for KidsSportMy sister Beverli and I participated in one of many KidsSport events and helped raisedover $20,000 for this worthy cause.

About KidsSportFrom humble beginnings here in BC, KidSport issued nearly $1.4 million in grants to just over 6700 kids in 2013 and has seen significant annual growth, particularly in the years subsequent to the 2010 Winter and Paralympic Games in Vancouver.Their mission remains the same….to remove the financial barriers that prevent some children from playing organized sport! Their vision…SO ALL KIDS CAN PLAY! More events are planned.
