Chicago Architectural Club and the City of Chicago sponsored an ideas competition to save Chicago’s water tanks. "It's really beautiful, really detailed and really comprehensive," jury chairman Thom Mayne, winner of the 2005 Pritzker Architecture Prize, said of Polk's scheme. "He approached this with an amazing clarity of intention and a huge commitment to the premise of the competition."
