Strong skills are the foundation supporting this manufacturing. The skills I specifically refer to here are the power to perform and execute. A workplace that reacts with sensitivity to various issues by producing an outcome is a strong workplace. These outcomes are the fire that kindles confidence and pride, and that brings about the courage to boldly tackle new issues in us all. Masahiro OnoderaI develop fluids for motor vehicles with non-conventional features. In the sense of breaking into new fields, I want to make mascara cosmetics in the future. My hope is that my research is marketed to raise KYB awareness of its women. With the chances the KYB workplace provides its young employees, I look to continue to learn new things and help the company.

At customer service, our job is to listen ca refu lly to the customer to p rovide va lu ab le fe edback fo r o u r wo r ke r s . Leadership is also essential as a mediator. A great variety of customers means a great variety of demands. We look to meet every single one of our customers’ demands to earn their trust.

Working with both the hardware and programming for EPS and ECUs gives me plenty to learn. The face-paced automotive industry often pushes you to work faster, but the inflow of new technology gives me plenty to study.The good thing about working at KYB is that you get to actually feel the product in your hands and experience it as you work, not just stare at design drawings.

KYB products are exported all over the wo r l d , a n d a d e f e c t i n o n e o f t h e components I build could lead to an accident. This line of thinking makes you feel obligated to produce a quality product for the customer every time. In a way it can be a lot of pressure, but it also delivers a great amount of satisfaction.

As part of a commemorative project celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of KYB-UMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the company donated a portion of domestic Malaysian sales fo r i ts commercial shock absorbers to eight different charities.As part of its CSR activities, company employees also visited a local retirement home in Kuala Langat.

KYB put out a call in-house for winter clothing to donate to Indonesian trainees in Japan with aims to obtain nursing and care worker qualifications.Every year, the KYB Americas Corporation makes donations to local Japanese language schools.The three China-based companies (Zhenjiang) help in fundraising to build Hope Elementary Schools in rural communities.

Since the 2012 fiscal year, KYB has donated a portion of concrete mixer truck sales in the Tohoku region to the Japanese Red Cross Society in an effort to support those affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and help in reconstruction of affected districts. We sincerely wish for a quick recovery in the Tohoku region and will continue our support in the future.

While staying active himself, former F1 driver Ukyo Katayama has started a Team UKYO Challenge School to recreate and pass on the spirit of his various challenges in F1, mountain climbing and cycling to the next generation.This hands-on school aims to kindle a love for nature, a spirit of challenge and the commitment to see things through to the end without fail in these children through various activities. KYB has provided support in various forms for these activities.

KYB sends its track and field team to local elementary schools to coach for running in physical education class. This initiative has gone on every year since 2005.

As of April 2014, KYB purchased the naming rights for Kani Sports Park Stadium and Tennis Courts in Kani, Gifu Prefecture. We will continue to give back to the community and promote sports with these facilities, now renamed KYB Stadium and KYB Tennis Court.

Aiming to energize the community and promote local sports, KYB is an official co-sponsor for SC Sagamihara, a J. League Division 3 soccer team based in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture. In support through SC Sagamihara, KYB continues to expand local initiatives in conjunction with the community.

KYB Stadium and KYB Tennis Court Now Open

Disabled Skiing

KYB first became involved in development for disabled skiing in the early 1990s. Triggered by the start of the development project to expand alpine competition in the 1996 Nagano Paralympics, development has built closer ties to the Japan Paralympic National Team. Today, competition at the Paralympics is fierce. KYB will continue to develop a more and more complete product.

KYB Robot Contest

KYB holds an annual robot contest as an opportunity to compete, promote employee communication, and just have a little fun while unveiling technology. Seventeen domestic teams and f ive teams f rom overseas participated in the 2014 contest. Utilizing KYB Group manufacturing skills, the KYB Robot Contest has grown into a climactic competition with each robot having its own original gimmicks and ideas.

Shock absorbers are products mounted between the body frame and tires along with springs to absorb vibrations from the frame. The springs expand and contract to absorb the shock from road sur face ir regularit ies . The shock absorber restricts vibrations when the compressed spring returns to its original state. Shocks provide a comfortable ride and greater steering stability. Today, KYB shock absorbers are equipped on one in five vehicles worldwide.
