    VOLUNTARY? I voluntarily devote 365days of each

    year to the noble cause of best gender and non tolerance to GBV. What is most important for me is to be patriotic and achieve equitable male and femaleresponsibilities while enhancing full attainment of their potentials accordingto the abilities God has given them and

    NOT THE PAY.

    HOW HAS THE LEADER HELPED TOPOPULARISE GENDER AND GBV

    ACTIVITIES AND INITIATIVES IN THE

    WORKPLACE? I ensure that the Local Authority has aGender Focal Point Person whose mainmandate is to plan , coordinate,organize and implement Gender InDevelopment Sub Committee of theDDCC in each Civic calendar year and influence the Council to allocate up to30% of the budget on best gender

    practices.

    WHAT RESULTS HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED?HOW IS THIS LINKED TO PERSONALCONTRIBUTIONS OF THE LEADER?

    At least 30% of plot allocations areawarded to women which is animprovement from 10% in the past.Management structure has women indecision making positions at 25% from12% in the recent past. Through fundsset apart by the LA such as CDF many women and youths clubs have

    established IGAs .

    LEADER My passion and dedication as a

    leader championing Gender and GBV is seen in the long years of un

    interrupted service as a voluntary Councilor from 1998 and changingposition of leadership fromCommittee Chairperson of the PWD

    committee and Council Chairmantwice in each position.
