WATERMAIN STATIONING

EXTENT OF

ASPHALT REPLACEMENT

FROM WATERMAIN STATIONING 2+025 TO 2+100,

THERE ARE AREAS OF PONDING ALONG EDGE OF

EXISTING ASPHALT. FILL THE LOW AREA WITH

COMPACTED CRUSHED GRAVEL (20mm MINUS),

AND ENSURE GRAVEL SHOULDERS ARE SLOPED

TO DRAIN INTO EXISTING CATCHBASINS.

NOTE:

THIS AREA IS QUITE FLAT AND THERE IS

SIGNIFICANT PONDING AT THE "GUTTER LINE"

OF THE ASPHALT ENTRANCE. THE IDEA IS TO

CREATE A SWALE ALONG THE GUTTER LINE.

THE DIFFICULTY IS THE FACT THAT THE

SWALE WILL HAVE A SLOPE OF 0.35%
