Akademi Tehnik Mesin Industri (ATMI) Cikarang was founded by Father
J.B.Casutt SJ, who felt that industrial professionals that can spur industrialization in
Indonesia had not met the need. With that consideration, ATMI Cikarang was
established in Jababeka Industrial Area, Bekasi in order to build intimate
relationship with industry.
ATMI Cikarang started running the Diploma III with program of mechanical
engineering on 1 September 2003. On 15 June 2004 ATMI Cikarang received
Permission to Operating Program from the government based on SK Mendiknas
No.84/D/O/2004. With the license, ATMI Cikarang got the official recognition from
the government to participate in developing professional education in Indonesia.
On 11 May 2012, status of ATMI Cikarang was accredited BAN PT No.004/BAN-
PT/Ak-XII/Dpl-III/V/2012.

1 : Sense of quality The aim in this phase is to reach sense of quality. In this phase, students are trained to be discipline and honest. From the cognitive side, students are expected to think in abstract, logically planned, and problem solving patterns. From the personal participation, students possess commitment to reach target, willingness to take communal action, can be relied on and to have strong mental endurance.
2 : Sense of efficiencyThe aim of this phase is to reach sense of efficiency. In this phase, students are trained to be able to assess situation thoroughly, cooperate in teams, have personal responsibility and be ready to work with people with different age, education, and value orientations.
3 : Sense of flexibility and innovationThe aim of this phase is to reach the sense of flexibility and innovation.
