The 2015 Jeep® Renegade ex-

pands the brand’s vehicle lineup,

entering the growing small sport-

utility vehicle (SUV) segment,

while staying true to the adven-

turous lifestyle and 4x4 capabil-

ity Jeep is known for.  Renegade

delivers a unique combination of

best-in-class off-road capability,

open-air freedom and conven-

ience, a segment-first nine-speed

automatic transmission that con-

tributes to outstanding on-road

and off-road driving dynamics,

two fuel-efficient engines, world-

class refinement, and a host of

innovative safety and advanced

technology offerings. The result

is an efficient vehicle created to

attract youthful and adventurous

customers around the world to

the Jeep brand.

“The all-new 2015 Jeep Rene-

gade symbolizes the brand’s

renowned American design, in-

genuity and innovation, marking

the Jeep brand’s first entry into

the small SUV segment,” said

Mike Manley, President and CEO

— Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group

LLC. “Renegade expands the

brand’s product portfolio and tar-

gets the rapidly expanding small

SUV segment with a best-in-class

combination of fuel efficiency

and off-road capability, while at

the same time delivering out-

standing driving dynamics and

the open-air freedom customers

expect from Jeep.”

From the start, Jeep designers

knew the Renegade would need

to deliver best-in-class off-road

capability with city-sized propor-

tions that exuded the brand’s

rugged style while at the same

time enhancing versatility, ma-

neuverability and style. Addi-

tionally, designers were tasked to

create an all-new SUV that would

symbolize the Jeep brand’s

renowned American design and

ingenuity, as it would mark the

brand’s first entry into the small

SUV segment in more than 100

markets around the globe. Last,

Renegade had to offer the open-

air freedom that dates back to its

1941 roots, with the Willys MB

Jeep.

The result is the 2015 Rene-

gade, a vehicle that builds on the

Jeep Wrangler’s powerful stance,

and features fresh new styling

with rugged body forms and ag-

gressive proportions, which en-

able best-in-class approach and

departure angles purposely de-

signed to deliver best-in-class off-

road capability. And for

segment-exclusive panoramic

views, two available “My Sky”

open-air roof panel systems con-

veniently stow to provide passen-

gers open-air freedom with ease.

True to the Jeep brand, the all-

new Renegade will offer cus-

tomers a best-in-class

combination of fuel efficiency

and off-road capability, including

two MultiAir four-cylinder en-

gines that provide more than 30

miles per gallon (mpg) on the

highway:

2.4-liter Tigershark engine

with MultiAir2 Efficiency and re-

finement also are hallmarks of

Chrysler Group’s 16-valve, 2.4-

liter Tigershark I-4 engine with

the MultiAir2 electro-hydraulic

fully variable valve-lift system.

The high-tech engine produces

184 horsepower, 177 lb.-ft. of

torque and is paired exclusively

to the segment’s first nine-speed

automatic transmission on 4x2

and 4x4 models. The 2.4-liter en-

gine’s MultiAir technology uses

a column of oil in place of the

traditional mechanical link be-

tween the camshaft and intake

valves to maximize intake mani-

fold pressure and significantly

reduce pumping losses. Multi-

Air2 takes the innovation further

by simultaneously controlling

both valve opening and closing

events to more effectively man-

age combustion quality and com-

pression ratio, all to improve fuel

economy and performance.

An Eco Mode is also available

on the all-new Jeep Renegade, for

fuel-efficient drivers.

Designed in America and

crafted in Italy, the 2015 Rene-

gade continues the Jeep brand’s

dedication to the global market-

place and demonstrates the

depths of its available resources.

The final assembly location for

the Renegade will be at the Melfi

Assembly Plant.

Featured Property

Spacious, updated home has 100feet of frontage on private pond

By Jim Akans

Nestled on three-quarters of

an acre of property on the edge

of beautiful Boyne City, this spa-

cious, updated three-bedroom,

two-bath home has big bonus fac-

tor; approximately 100 feet of

frontage on a private pond.

This two-level home that in-

cludes a finished, walkout base-

ment has over 2,200 feet of living

space…that’s a lot of indoor

room to roam! Among the many

interior highlights are a gor-

geous updated kitchen, wood

floors in the living areas and din-

ing room, generously sized bed-

rooms, and spectacular outdoor

views throughout. The property

also features a detached two-and-

a-half car garage.

This spacious home with pri-

vate pond frontage is located at

646 Boyne City Road in Boyne

City and it is listed at just

$164,900. And there is more…the

listing price also includes a “to

be built” deck on the back of the

home that will have access from

both the main living area and

master bedroom suite.

Getting prepared to moveis half the battle

Part 4 of 51 week from move date:

Set aside valuable items and keep

those with you. Clean before moving

and leave your house or apartment

as clean as it was when you moved

in.

Tip: Make sure the details for pay-

ing the moving company are taken

care of. Some will require money or-

ders or cashier’s checks upon deliv-

ery; know their policy in advance to

avoid stress on moving day.

Tip: Start eating all the frozen

foods you have, or give them to a

neighbor or friend. This way you

won’t have to throw them away on

moving day, or worry about packing

an ice chest.

Tip: Also think about necessities

for managing moving day like con-

fining your pets and anticipating the

amount of time you will need.

Tip: Place necessities such as toi-

letries, toilet paper, rags, “must-

have” cooking supplies and organize

them in boxes marked “open first” so

it’s easy to find the initial items

you’ll want handy on those first few

days of being in your next home.

Don’t forget the flashlight!

Tip: If possible, take one last tour

of the new location and identify

water and gas shut off locations, as

well as the electrical breaker box just

in case something happens in the

first few days so you’re prepared.

Might be smart to drop off a fresh

box of light bulbs too!
