10 Questions with

Betty Holland

1) How are you doing today?

Currently I’m designing jewelry for a Photo

Shoot in Greece this September with Charlotte,

NC Photographer Shawn Nguyen. I’m honored

to have this opportunity! It’s exciting to research

Grecian styles and incorporate them into my

designs. Shawn has selected a great team. We

are all working hard and looking forward to this

amazing experience.

2) When did you start designing?

I began designing jewelry in 2002. I have

always been interested in accessories, jewelry

especially. After taking my first jewelry

designing class, I knew I’d found my niche. And

as the saying goes, the rest is history.

3) We heard your Jewelry is going to be

featured in an upcoming feature film call

“MARY” produced by Charlie Ivon Maisonet?

How does that make you feel to be featured in

a motion picture?

I’m honored to be a part of this film! It’s a thrilling

experience to be the Jewelry Designer for MARY.

Working with Charlie Ivon Maisonet is such a

pleasure. She is an incredible person with a

passion for everything she does. MARY is going

to be an “electrifying” film filled with surprises and

excitement around every corner. Hold onto your

seats!

I began designing jewelry in 2002. I have always been interested in accessories,

jewelry especially.

My plans are to continue exploring all aspects of the world of film and fashion. This is what fuels my creativity and there are many more

opportunities that I wish to pursue.

4) What is your favorite food and why?

Anything sweet is unfortunately the answer to

that question.

5) Why do you make one of a kind Jewelry

instead of making massive quantity?

To me jewelry designing is an ongoing

expression of creativity. Creativity is the passion

that feeds my soul. After completing one design,

I’m ready to move on to another. I enjoy focusing

on the creative process and one project at a time.

6) Would you like to see your Jewelry in Major

Stores? Y or N..If no please explain?

It would be wonderful to have my jewelry in

Major stores. Presently, I am focusing on Runway

Shows, Films, Photo Shoots, Red Carpet & Special

Events. I’ve enjoyed participating in Mercedes-

Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam, New York

Fashion Week and Washington DC Fashion Week

as well as working with numerous Photographers

nationally and internationally.

Creativity is the passion that feeds my soul.

7) What did you want to be when you

were young?

A model.

8) Are you married with kids? How long?

I have been married for 44 years and am

proudly the mother of two children. I have two

grandchildren and a third on the way.

9) What do we expect from Betty Holland for

2015-2016?

My plans are to continue exploring all aspects

of the world of film and fashion. This is what

fuels my creativity and there are many more

opportunities that I wish to pursue.
