DOUG BEARDSLEY (Dancer) and his wife Jill, moved here from the Rockford, IL area 2 1/2 years ago where they were performers and choreographers in the professional and com-munity theaters. As former members of the World Championship BYU Ballroom Dance Company, they continue to perform and teach. Favorite roles include Benjamin in 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, Audrey II (puppeteer) in Little Shop of Horrors, and Will Parker in Oklahoma. His favorite dance role was the Arabian in The Nutcracker. He is the proud father of 4 Eagle Scouts. His favorite title; “Grandpa” to Miriam, Victoria and Landon. Doug works as the Director of the Johnson County Health Department. This is Doug’s third ICCT production.

JILL BEARDSLEY (Dancer) began dancing at age 11 with the prestigious Diemann/Bennett studios in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she trained in ballet and other forms of dance. She attended Brigham Young University and studied Ballroom and Latin dance styles and performed with the world-renowned BYU Ballroom Dance Company where she met future husband, Doug. Jill moved here from the Rockford, IL area where her skills as a choreogra-pher, dancer and performer were in much demand. Favorite performances include Joseph, Guys and Dolls, 7 Brides, and Kismet. Choreography credits include Seussical, Tommy, The Wiz, Footloose, The King and I, Oklahoma, My Fair Lady and many others. Jill is mother to four good looking boys, mother-in-law to three and grandma to Miriam, Victoria and Landon. “It’s good to be back home.”

LEN DUNCAN (Ensemble) who, fresh from his 1983 role at Cedar Falls High School as Charles in Blithe Spirit, returns to the stage as part of the Ensemble of ICCT’s My Fair Lady. He will never forget the powerful words that he uttered late this fall at the Iowa City Recreation Center that heralded his return to theatre: "Oh! I'm sorry! I was looking for the restroom. Um...are you guys rehearsing a play?”

KATIE EATON (Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of ICCT’s My Fair Lady (likely her favorite musical of all time!). Previous local show credits include Hello, Dolly and A Christmas Carol with City Circle and Stage Door with ICCT. Offstage, Katie enjoys her job as a high school teacher, and anything singing or dancing related. Thanks to Josh and Ed for allowing her to be a part of this production, and to friends and family who made it to see the show!

JEN GERBYSHAK (Mrs. Pearce, Ensemble) is ecstatic to be in the production that combines her two true loves: linguistics and theater. She spends way, way too much time pretending to be other people with the hopes that those watching will find it entertaining, and every waking mi-nute analyzing how people talk. She has somehow convinced the University of Iowa to pay her for the latter as an ESL Lecturer. This is the fourth time Jen has persuaded ICCT to support her pre-tending habit, after Camelot, Wonderful Town and 9 Parts of Desire.

BRIAN JONES (Freddy Eynsford-Hill), a native of Williamsburg, Iowa, is a 2009 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis. He continues his education at the University of Iowa where he is currently a second-year law student. Brian is excited to be performing again with ICCT after playing Lieutenant Joe Cable in South Pacific. Many thanks to the cast, crew, directors, the terrific orchestra, and our fabulous rehearsal accompanist, Jeanne Nelson. Enjoy the show!

MEGAN KEISER (Eliza Doolittle) is thrilled beyond words to have this opportunity and to work with Josh and Ed again. She has lived in the Iowa City area for 9 years and has been involved with many theatrical companies and performances. Some of her favorite roles in-clude Amalia (She Loves Me), Charity Hope Valentine (Sweet Charity) and Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors). She would like to thank her parents, her kittens, and most of all her husband, for supporting her in this endeavor.

Proceeds from ticket sales provide less than half of the operating budget of ICCT. We are a non-profit organization and can always use your help! Your contribu-tion is tax-deductible (minus the value of tickets) and helps to keep our ticket prices low to improve accessibility to the general community. With a donation of $25 or more, you can automatically become a member and receive all the perks, as well! In this way, we can help people come together to celebrate the excite-ment of live theatre.

You may send a check or money order payable to Iowa City Community Thea-tre), or donate with your credit card number on our website. Send checks or money orders to ICCT at :

You can become a member of the ICCT family for a fee of $25/yr., which gives you voting rights at our meetings, a newsletter every 2 months, and advance information about shows and events related to the ICCT.

We can help your business get broader exposure in Iowa City and Johnson County. This is usually done by advertising in our playbills, but can also be by sponsorship of shows, elements of shows, or specific actors.

We are always in need of new and interested individuals for help at the community theatre in a number of different capacities: acting, directing, back stage, and at the front of the house.

If you have talents to share, wish to purchase tickets or sponsor a show, please contact the Box Office.
