Founded in 2005, GEA Batignolles Thermal Technolo-gies Changshu is the subsidiary company of GEA Bati-gnolles Technologies Thermiques, the GEA Group.

As the production base of GEA process Air Cool-ing Products in China, the company has designed and manufactured air–cooled heat exchangers since 1997 as Wuhu thermal technology company. After moving to Ji-angyin in 2003, GEA process Air Cooling Products Busi-ness Unit was merged to GEA Batignolles Technologies Thermiques in 2005. At the same time, Changshu plant was built to meet the demand in China, India and Far East market.

GEA Batignolles Thermal Technologies Changshu fur-nishes our clients with first class air cooled thermal ex-change technologies and services according to interna-tional standards and emphases on thermal technology development and research. The air cooler products are widely used in oil, natural gas, energy, petrochemical and coal chemical industries in China, India and Far East.

Leading Technology

Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, in short Air Fin or Fin Fan Coolers, are used in any application where large quantities of heat need to be transferred. This includes chemical and petrochemical in-dustries, power stations, waste-to-energy facilities as well as steelworks.

Using air rather than water for cooling is a cost-efficient alterna-tive, which also controls the thermal overload of rivers and lakes. Moreover, direct dry cooling offers substantial advantages since air is generally non-corrosive and of unlimited supply.

GEA supplies customized Air Fin Coolers, based on leading de-sign and manufacturing technologies, featuring a wide range of different fin shapes and headers in various material.

Individual Solutions

Air Fin Coolers are designed, manufactured and tested in accor-dance with all relevant international codes and regulations. Stan-dard thermal designs are based on induced draft, forced draft, re-circulation units and humidified air coolers. More sophisticat-ed designs for special process applications are also available. Air Fin Coolers are built with operating pressures of up to 700 bars and the capability to handle design temperatures of up to 650oC.

领先的技术优势空冷式换热器是利用风扇,采用自然风冷却翅片管内的热介质,大量的热能通过翅片管得到交换,广泛应用于化工、石化、炼油、电站、垃圾焚烧发电厂以及钢厂。

使用空气不仅是一种低投资成本、低运行成本的选择,而且可以减少江河湖泊水的温升,有利保护保护环境。除此之外,由于空气是可以无限利用的非腐蚀性的资源,所以直接空冷同其他换热方式相比较,具有极大的先天性优势。

基于领先的设计和制造技术,根据不同的翅片片型和不同型式及材料的管箱,GEA可给客户提供量身订制的空冷器。

空冷器结构Air Finned Cooler Fan StructuresInduced Draft Unit

The induced draft unit gives a steady and endurable thermal performance due to the protection of the finned surface against wind, rain and snow by the plenum chamber. The induced draft also ensures better air distribution, less hot air recirculation, less fouling and lower noise levels at grade.引风式:管束位于风机的吸风侧,由于风筒对换热翅片管有着很好的阻挡阳光、风、雨、雪的作用,使得引风式空冷器具有较稳定的换热性能。同时它具有风量分配均匀、热循环少、污损少、低噪音的特性。

Forced Draft Unit

The forced draft unit allows an easy access for maintenance to the bundles. Furthermore, the fans remain in the cold ambi-ent air temperature and allow high process inlet temperature as well as with a long life.鼓风式:管束位于风机的排风侧、这种结构非常方便维护,并且风机电机始终处于较冷的空气环境中,可以允许装置处理较高温度的工艺介质,从而保持较长的使用寿命。

Humidified Air Coolers

The combination of air cooler and humidification section is a good solution in some dry areas and hot climates. The ambi-ent air is cooled by direct contact with water in the humidifica-tion section, which further reduces the temperature of process streams and improves the heat exchange for a fixed set of pro-cess temperature.增湿空冷器:增湿单元和空冷器混合使用在一些干燥地区和炎热的气候是一种很不错的解决方式。环境空气通过与增湿单元中的水直接接触而冷却,从而降低介质温度。

Recirculation Unit

In very cold climates (RUSSIA, CANADA and ALASKA of USA) and also for special process, it is necessary to provide hot air recirculation to prevent freezing or congealing. Different types of hot air recirculation are possible thanks to various combina-tion of louvers, steam coils, auto variable fans and / or variable speed. 循环单元:在一些非常寒冷的地区(如俄罗斯、加拿大、阿拉斯加)或特殊的要求下,为了防止冷冻凝固可以采用这种热风循环的方式解决。热风循环可以用不同的手段如组合的百叶窗、蒸汽盘管、自动调节风扇、变频技术达到这个目的。

Air Cooled Vacuum Steam Condenser

GEA Btt has developed the MASH system which uses aluminum fin tubes. This anti-freeze steam condenser is supported on an A-frame steel structure equipped with a vacuum package sys-tem including tanks, pumps and control devices. GEA Btt can also provide supervision support for the site erection and the start-up of the unit.真空系统空气凝汽器:GEA巴蒂尼奥开发出这种MASH系统。它主要是基于铝翅片管的设计。这种防冻的结构由A字形的钢结构支撑,并装配有包括冷凝箱、泵和控制设备在内的真空系统。GEA Btt还能提供现场的安装调试指导。

Air Finned Cooler Header Structures

Plug Header

The plug header is the most commonly used header with working pressure of up to 350 bars. The plug hole opposite each tube al-low expansion of tube in the tube sheet, mechanical cleaning, and plugging in case of leakage. Seal welding or strength welding can be provided for high partial hydrogen pressure services resulting in a less expensive solution than the use of pipe header with working pressure of 200 bars generally.丝堵式管箱:丝堵式管箱是应用最为广泛的一种管箱结构形式,它的工作压力可以高达350巴。与每根换热管对应的丝堵孔,可以用来进行管子和管板胀接、清洗、堵漏。对于高氢分压介质,如果采用密封焊或强度焊的时候,它的成本低于压力超过200巴的集合管式管箱。

Cover Plate Header

The cover plate header is used for fluids with high fouling factors of up to 30 bars where a frequent mechanical cleaning is needed. It is also used for corrosive process fluids to facilitate the periodi-cal check of corrosion allowance. Special cover plate headers using welded gasket are provided for hydrogen service units in hydro-cracking plant盖板式管箱:它主要适用于压力最大不超过40巴的高污介质且需要频繁清洗的情况。同时它还适用于高腐蚀性介质且需定期检查腐蚀程度的情况。在加氢裂化厂还经常用到一种焊接密缝垫片的特殊盖板式管箱。

Pipe Header

The pipe header is used for working pressure over 200 bars. The U-bend tubes are welded to the nipples on the pipe. The welds are heat treated and X-ray tested集合管式管箱:它主要适用于工作压力超过200巴的情况。U型的钢管被焊接到集合管的接头上,并对焊逢进行热处理和X射线探伤。

Welded Bonnet Header

It is used for special service such as ammonia condensers, Freon condensers and vacuum steam condensers. One advantage of this design is the fully welded construction which provides the perfect sealing required for such application焊接式圆形管箱:主要应用在氨、氟利昂的冷凝以及真空蒸汽冷凝器。这种设计的优势在于它的全焊接结构可以提供这些应用所要求的完美密封性。

Manifold Header

A large circular manifold is used in some cases where the allowable pressure drop is limited. This large manifold ensures an equal distri-bution of flow in the tubes. The tube sheets are directly welded to the manifold. This type is used for vacuum steam condensers and refrigeration units.汇流管管箱:这种大圆型的汇流管管箱主要应用于压力损失受限的情况。采用这种管箱可以确保介质被均匀的分配到换热管内部。它的管板是被直接焊接到汇流管上。这种形式应用于真空系统的冷凝器和制冷装置。

Finned tubes are indispensable design elements where heat is to be transferred economically between gases and liquids or between gases and condensing vapors. For that reason, finned tube heat ex-changers are preferablely used to cool or heat gases, especially air.翅片管是热交换器中进行气体-液体或者气体-冷凝气之间热交换时必不可少的元件,翅片管热交换器非常适合气体之间的冷却和加热,尤其是空气冷却。

With water, heat transfer coefficient in the order of 5000W/m2K can be achieved in the tubes. In contrast, heat transfer is much less when air is used. A coefficient of 1000W/m2K is expected for plain tube. In order to compensate the significantly lower heat transfer achieved with air, thermal engineers increase the surface of the out-er tubes by providing them with fins.冷却介质为水时,基管的热交换系数可以达到5000W/m2K,相反,当冷却介质为空气时,热交换系数要降低许多。一般,光管的热交换系数只有1000W/m2K。介质为空气时,为了增加使用空气时,基管的热传递效率,热工工程师们使用在基管外侧增加翅片的办法来增加基管的外表面积,从而提高换热系数。

The higher the fin, the longer the heat transfer path.翅片越高,热量传递的路径就越长。

Moreover, the manner in which the fins are attached to the core tube has also a significant impact on the heat exchanger perfor-mance. The fins used on steel or stainless steel core tubes are pri-marily made of aluminum or hot-dip galvanized steel. Aluminum can be easily shaped and has especially good heat transfer proper-ties. The use of steel for the fins makes the tubes robust and sturdy. Both steel finned tubes and extruded aluminum finned tubes can be cleaned using high pressure water.同时,翅片与基管的连接方式也对热传递有很大的影响。用于钢管或不锈钢管上的翅片主要是铝片或热浸镀锌钢片制成,铝具有易成型以及优良的热传递性能的特点;钢质翅片具有很高的强度和韧性。钢质翅片管和轧制式铝翅片管均可以用高压水清洗。

Fans Configurations

The fans are generally provided with aluminum or fibre glass blade. The number and the rotational speed of blade depend on the airflow requirement and noise restriction.

Electric motors are generally used. However, steam or hy-draulic turbines can also be used as well as low speed direct drive electric motor

Airflow control can be realized by using either:

Manual or automatic louvers VSDS or two speed electric motors Automatic variable pitch blade.

风机及布置方式

风机的叶片通常是铝或玻璃钢制成的。叶片的数量和转速取决于空气流量和噪音的要求。

风机的驱动通常是通过电动马达,但是蒸汽或液压透平机也可以和低压直驱式电机同样用来驱动风机。

Fan Drive

Direct Drive

The fan is mounted directly on the motor shaft. The fan and the mo-tor operate at the same speed.

Forced-Draft Belt Drive

The speed of the motor is reduced to achieve the desired fan speed by means of pulleys.

Induced-Draft Belt Drive

If the discharge air temperature is low, the motor may alternatively be mounted above the heat exchanger.

Geared Drive

The motor shaft is coupled directly to the input shaft of the gearing.

风机的驱动

直接驱动通过轴,电机直接驱动风机叶轮,风机和电机具有同样的转速。

鼓风式皮带驱动通过皮带轮和皮带驱动电机,使之速度下降,以达到理想的风机速度。

引风式皮带传动如果管束释放的空气温度较低,可以把电机安装在管束的上方。

Air Cooled Condensers supplied by GEA provide an efficient and reliable steam condensation system for the power and process industries. With the development of more than 60 years of successful experience, increasing environmental con-straints and restricted water availability make the Direct Condensing technology even more prevalent today.

GEA technology has continuously evolved through the development of various designs, configurations and materials, representing the state of the art technol-ogy in Direct Condensing. The GEA was given a turn-key contract in 1982 for the design, manufacturing, supply, erection and commissioning of six air-cooled steam condensers for Eskom’s 6x665 MW Medupi Power Station in South Africa, which stands today as the largest direct air-cooled steam condenser installation in the world.

Individual Solutions

The GEA Air Cooled Condenser is comprised of finned tube bundles grouped to-gether into cells and mounted in an A-frame configuration on a concrete or steel support structure. Vertical and horizontal configurations are available.

GEA Btt developed “MASH” system to achieve efficient and reliable condensation. The steam from the turbine or the process is conveyed by means of one or more large ducts into a number of finning tube bundles. To best meet the design pa-rameters from the customer’s specification and the most efficient and economical layout, GEA-BTT offer the solution of aluminum four-row MASH system.

Commissioning and Start-up Assistance

For new equipment manufactured by GEA Btt Changshu, a recom-mended field service solution is commissioning and start-up assis-tance. Our experience field service team provides on site supervision for installation.

All equipments manufactured by GEA Btt Changshu must pass a rig-orous inspection by our quality control department before shipment release. Also, a comprehensive inspection of all air cooler components after installation by our expert field service team is a logical measure to assure safe start-up and efficient operation.

Our commissioning and start-up assistance service can include, but are not limited to:
