    Bombay Stock Exchange SENSEX

    The BSE SENSEX is a value-weighted index composed of 30 largest and most actively traded stocks

    in the Bombay Stock Exchange. These companies account for about fifty percent of market

    capitalization of the BSE. It is regarded as the pulse of the domestic stock markets in India.

    Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is amongst the oldest and largest

    state-owned engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India in the energy-

    related and infrastructure sectors including Power, Railways, Transmission and

    Distribution, Oil and Gas etc.

    It presently the 12th largest power equipment manufacturer in the world.It is one of India's nine largest Public Sector Undertakings known as

    the Navratnas which include Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and seven others.

    BHEL was set up at Bhopal in the name of Heavy electrical (India) Ltd.

    in collaboration with AEI, UK, on November 13, 1964.

    The Company's objective was to manufacture heavy electrical

    equipments required by all Indian infrastructural entities.

    History

    From a humble beginning 1 plant, today BHEL has grown to have

    several Manufacturing Divisions, Regional Centres, Service Centres,

    Regional & Overseas Offices and numerous projects.
