NewItemMenuandPageTypes

Tocreateanewpageclickthe“New”menuinthetopleftcorner.Makesuretoselectthefolderyouwantthepagetogointobeforecreatingit.Thenselectoneoftheavailablecontenttypes.Thenewcontentmenucontainsseveraloptions.Thefirstisthe“default”folder.Thisfoldercontainsthefileandexternallinkoptions.Fileallowsyouuploadjustaboutanytypeoffileincluding(worddoc,excel,pdf,powerpoint,png,jpg,gif,etc).Thisallowsyoutouploadbothfilesandimages.Externallinkallowsyoutocreateanexternallinkthatcanbereusedinpagesandinthenavigation.Thisitemissetupbysimplypastingortypingintheurl.EmployeeBioListwillcreateadepartmentstafflist.Thiscanbesetupmanuallyorautomated.Manuallyallowsyoutoaddeachpersononthepage.AutomatedwillpullfromtheindividualEmployeeBiopagesbasedonthedepartmentselected.Thelistingwillincludeaphotoofeachpersonalongwiththeirname,titleandcontactinfo.EmployeeBioPagewillcreateanindividualbiopageforonepersonwithextendedbiographyinformationinadditiontocontactinfo.ImageGallerywillcreateathumbnailimagegallerywithlightboxandslideshoweffects.StandardPageallowsyoutocreateapagewithmultipleoptions.Ifyouselectthestandardoptionyouaregivenabasictextpage.ThisallowsyoutousetheWYSIWYGeditortoenterinformationasyouwouldinawordprocessingprogram.IfyouselecttheAccordionoptioninthestandardpageitwillcreateaverticalaccordionlist.ThisisoftenseenandusedforFrequentlyaskedquestions.Thisoptioncanbeusedtocondensecontent.
