Leah  Brown  Johnson  is  the  owner  of  Be  Equipped,  LLC  and  a  mulC  talented  individual.  She  has  over  eighteen  years  experience  in  higher  educaCon,  career  services,  human  resources  and  non  profit  management.  She  is  a  published  author,  public  speaker  and  entrepreneur.  Leah  started  a  non  profit  organizaCon  that  has  been  in  existence  for  seventeen  years  serving  the  populaCons  in  need  in  Westchester  County  and  the  Northern  Bronx,  NY.  She  also  launched  and  was  the  Founding  ExecuCve  Director  for  the  first  New  Jersey  urban  squash,  aOerschool  program  in  Newark.  Leah  travels  worldwide  speaking  to  various  companies  and  organizaCons,  providing  seminars,  workshops  and  trainings  in  a  variety  of  topics  from  “Company  Culture”  to  “StarCng  A  Non  Profit”.  She  facilitates  mobile  youth  programs  in  sundry  youth  organizaCons.  Pulling  on  her  twelve  years  experience  in  youth  development  and  aOerschool  educaCon  for  11-­‐18  year  olds,  she  collaborates  with  other  organizaCons  to  provide  their  consCtuents  with  consistent,  quality  educaConal  programming.

“Leah  has  been  credited  with  crea=ng  a  college  prep  program  that  has  achieved  wonderful  success  for  inner  city  youth  in  Harlem,  NY.  Her  efforts  with  that  program  yielded  a  100%  college  acceptance  rate  and  84%  college  reten=on  rate  which  is  3xs  the  na=onal  average  for  United  States  youth  and  6xs  the  na=onal  average  for  inner  city,  minority  youth.”
