***DUE NEXT WEEK! \/ \/ \/*** ABSTRACT DUE DATE: ___________________
Write a ONE PARAGRAPH abstract due next week describing the depth and breadth of your
topic for approval. Include a clearly identifiable thesis and summary of your (anticipated)
research leading to a specific conclusion.
(*Note: This will likely change! When it does you will rewrite it after you complete your paper
and replace your early assumptions with new data in the final version you turn in. So long as
your overall topic does not change you do not need to resubmit it.)
*You will know if your topic has been approved by the end of next class period.
Write your paper following the guidelines attached. Formal papers such as this adhere to strict
guidelines on length and format depending on the conference or publisher. Use the word-file
template (on the blog) to write your paper and pay close attention to the instructions within it.
Also adhere to the style sheet guidelines and submission format. Length is an absolute and can
not be exceeded or your paper may be dropped (in the real world) from the publication
entirely. FULL PAPER DUE DATE: __________________
This is a SCHOLARLY WORK and therefore requires citations! Pay close attention to the citation
and style guide as it is the difference between a passing and failing grade for an otherwise
mediocre paper. (Reminder: Late work is -10 perweek so dont do that!)
