TITLE : PROGRAM ENGLISH AND SCIENCE EXPLORACE
INTRODUCTION :
This program is designed to enhance the science process skills in English among the
students of Year 6 in particular English Language Science Explore undertaken casually.
These activities will be conducted during the second session, on Friday and Saturday. An
activity conducted during the first session was more experimental, while the second
session of the workshop to answer technical questions. Year 6 pupils will be divided
into 12 groups. Each group will have 5 or 6 people. Each group will perform the
assignment and submit it to the teacher in charge of the station.
AIMS PROGRAMME :
This program aims to increase interest of pupils in English Language and
Science subjects.
OBJECTIVES PROGRAMME :

At the end of this program, students can:
1. Pupils identify the manipulated variables, responding variables, and
variables constant.
2. Drawing and labelling diagrams scientifically.
3. Using science terms in simple English.
4. Make a hypothesis and aim for each experimental.
DURATION OF PROGRAMME :

Session I : February 13, 2011 (Friday) at 3:00 to 5:00 pm
Session II : February 14, 2011 (Saturday) at 8:30 to 10:30 am

Session 1 begins on Friday, 13.02.2010 at 3:00 to 3:15 pm. In this
session, participants were briefed about the activities to be
undertaken. Next all participants were divided into 12 groups. After the distribution

of groups, tasks assigned to each group's representative.
English Language and Science next adventure begins.
STESEN 1 & 2: BRIGHT, BRIGHTER, BRIGHTEST
To study the relationship between the number of batteries and the brightness of the bulb.
STESEN 3 & 4: BRIGT, BRIGHTER, BRIGHTEST
To study the relationship between the number of bulbs and the brightness of the bulb.
STESEN 5 & 6: FORMING OF SHADOW
To study the relationship between the distance of the source of light from the object and
the size of shadow.
STESEN 7 & 8: FORMING OF SHADOW
To study the relationship between the distance of the object from the screen and the size of
shadow.
STESEN 9 & 10: MICROORGANISM
To show that microorganism breath.
STESEN 11 & 12: ACID AND ALKALI
To test whether a food is acidic or alkaline
On the first day after the expiration of the activities and conclusions made in
the evening program ended at 4:45 to 5:00 pm. Next on the second day, the day Saturday,
14/02/2011 jam7.40 am once again all the participants gathered to hear
the workshop and answer technique.

STRENGHTS
1. Group activities designed to attract. It can generate excitement for all participants.
2. Each participant was given an opportunity to take part in group events.
3. For the same activity between the two groups has created a healthy competitive spirit.
4. The time given to each group in line with activity.
5. The materials required for the activity prepared by the secretariat.
6. Place this program run comfortably.
WEAKNESSES
1. The time allocated for workshops and answering techniques on Saturday that is not
appropriate. For workshops and technique should be answered as this is
provided within 1 day. This is to give full disclosure to students.
2. There are a few members who lack the focus during a lecture delivered. It has
been disturbing the foundation of other students.
3. Workshop sessions held in a public group. This has caused students to be noisy.
4. There is a speaker who is less skilled in interacting with students.
SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

2. Time to answer questions and workshop techni
ques should be increased to one day.
3. Responding to the selection of speakers and
workshops in the technique should be done
carefully.
4. Activities during the Friday group can be
further diversified. Which each group received a different assignment.
5. To prevent students who lack focus member, the prize can be prepared for
submission to answer them questions correctly.
6. Teachers should be there for each group to monitor and assist students during group
activities conducted.
7. The selection of topics suitable for the task to attract students and help students
understands the topic in the syllabus.
8. If there are activities that involve the stations, topics and activities for each station
should be different. This is to give students the opportunity to exercise all of the
activities provided for each station.
9. Answering techniques can be performed in a hall, but during the workshop, students
can be divided into classes.
10. Time for group activities should also be added. This is because it can generate
excitement for students to study in greater depth.
CONCLUTION
The
program runs smoothly as planned. All stud
e nts follow the program properly and
not cause
any problems. The invited speakers were gi
ven to carry out its mandate well despite a lack of expert speakers to interact, but the
information conveyed is quite useful. In addition, the

students also gave a good response and feedback to the charging program. In terms of time
management, all students in a timely and speakers also come ahead
of time. Consequently, English and Science Program is to provideinformation and a

methods of effective learning
