The story of Dainik Jagran began in 1942 with a mission to ”create a newspaper that would reflect the free voice of the people.”

Late Puran Chand Gupta was the founder. Started in Jhansi, then shifted the Head Quarter to Kanpur.

More than 55.7 million people read "Dainik Jagran" making it the largest read daily in India. Currently, Dainik Jagran's 37 editions are published across eleven states of India.

A research design is purely and simply is the framework or plan for a study that guides the collection and analysis of data.

For defining the problem descriptive

research design was used. The reason for selecting such design is that we seek to estimate the proportion of people in a specific population who behave in a certain way with respect to Dainik Jagran.

The research plan can call for gathering secondary data consist of information that already exists where while primary data consist of original information gathered for the specific purpose.

  In this report source of collecting information was

primary in nature. However the help of secondary sources had been taken that exists in office of Dainik Jagran, Noida.

  Primary data has been collected by personal

contact method. The interviews of perspective customer had taken by using questionnaire technique. The questionnaire is highly structured and undisguised.

Dainik Jagran is the most preferred newspaper and dominates in the market.

Majority of customers are brand loyal and they do not change their preferences easily. Once a paper is subscribed in their family they prefer to continue for years to come.

Most of customers subscribe only one newspaper or they add one English newspaper mainly for international news or they want to increase their English glossary.

Supplements play a vital role in making preference towards a newspaper and the most preferred supplement is that of films.

Dainik Jagran has high favorable in term of readership in the old city area.

Danik jagran again came out as majority holder for newspaper poeple like most to advertise into, primarily due to its superb reach; closely following was times of india and Amar Ujala as well.

English won as the most favored language for advertising as it provided more style and mage to the advertisement. A blend of English and Hindi was also favored for advertising.

Dainik Jagran, altough being one of the best Newspaper should work on its image, of being a Newspaper of locals to being a Newspaper of national importance.

The looks and feel of the Newspaper should be changed from time to tie to keep up with taste of readers.

with the changing trend it would be extremely beneficial to incorporate some English or bilingful features regularly in the Newspaper.

Having close competition from leading newspaper dailies like Dainik Bhasakar, the newspapers go for weekly local supplement as well.

Should increase news about Technological development.

The newspaper should have to increase international news so that customers won’t move towards English newspaper.

 Articles on customer queries regarding legal issues and help should be included.

 List of general household items, services and goods and their availability in the city should be published on regular weekly basis along with price range.

Time limitation was one of the major factors which did not allow getting into minutest details.

Some respondents were too busy and were not co-operative.

For some selected units in the sample if respondents were not available than the respondent next to his / her door was considered.

The area which we was selected is to A+ segment class where people are prefer English newspaper.

The internship program at Dainik Jagran was a very intriguing journey full of knowledge that exposed use to the practical situations of marketing.

This journey paved a way for us to know the ground realities of working in a media house with the present market situation of the company as the work belongs to the current market situation and the marketing policies of the newspaper and gather as much knowledge as we could for the future.

We were privileged to be a part of such a wonderful team which has a pool of intellectuals in it. It has given us an enlightening and empowered base for our future and this will really prove instrumental in molding our careers ahead.
