As President of the Armenian Small Animal Veterinary Association – ARMSAVA, which join World Small Animal Veterinary Association – WSAVA back in 2017 as Associate member I would like to apply for Full membership.
We can confidently state that within the past three years as ARMSAVA became member of WSAVA global veterinary community it has a great contribution to veterinary community of Armenia endorsing world's best practices on care, diagnosis and treatment guidelines of small companion animals. Developed a comprehensive framework of interconnected goals designed to help veterinarians, lecturers and pet holders achieve greater sustainability and to contribute to improved health and welfare of companion animals through continuing educational programs, workshops and master classes. Interoperability of students, lecturers, veterinarians and young clinicians develop a better platform with higher standards.
We strongly believe that the Full membership of WSAVA will bring the ARMSAVA to new level with new opportunities to achieve our mission: “health and welfare of companion animals worldwide through an educated, committed and collaborative global veterinary community” and as we already stated it will be an honor for us to host WSAVA World Congress in Armenia. Mission: “To advance the health and welfare of companion animals worldwide through an educated, committed and collaborative global community of veterinary peers”
Introduction The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) is an association of associations. Its membership is made up of veterinary organisations from all over the world, which are concerned with small companion animals such as cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs etc. Currently there are 113 member and affiliate associations, representing over 200,000 individual veterinarians from around the globe. WSAVA's primary purpose is to advance the quality and availability of small animal medicine and surgery, and this broad aim is achieved in a number of different ways.
WSAVA fosters the exchange of scientific information, both between individual veterinarians and between their veterinary organisations.
WSAVA furthers international relationships between all veterinarians dealing with small animal health and welfare.
WSAVA promotes the standing of small animal practice.
Application for Full Membership
The process of membership in WSAVA is defined in Section 3 of the WSAVA By-Laws and, in summary, is restricted to formal veterinary organizations dedicated to small animal veterinary medicine having 100 or more members. To apply, simply provide the information requested below and ensure it is submitted to the WSAVA Secretariat ([email protected]) 67 days prior to the next Assembly meeting (this equates to no later than July 17, 2020).
It is expected that a member of your association would attend the Assembly meeting to present your application to the Assembly members. This body will subsequently vote on the merits of your application and determine its success. The next Assembly meeting is on September 22, 2020 in Warsaw, Poland.

At the time of the Assembly Meeting Please be aware that if your application is successful adopted by a majority vote of the WSAVA member representatives, your association representative will be required to sign a letter of commitment to the defined responsibilities implied in association member (see below) in front of the Assembly before your membership becomes official.
The ARMSAVA has been established back in October 2014 and at this moment has 44 members’ in-practice veterinarians, lecturers and young specialists. Over the past years, the association conducted several international conferences, workshops, trainings and seminars on new methods of treatment and effectiveness of used medicine, ophthalmology, orthopedics, cardiology and endocrinology. In April 2015 ARMSAVA became the 40th member of Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Association (FECAVA), which brought the association to the new level allowing be acknowledged with latest methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of small animals and implementation of best practices in Armenia straighten to develop the pet care culture, create/gave opportunity for its members to have training in different countries and ensure access to EJCAP - European Journal of Companion Animal Practice.
Obligations as a WSAVA Member
Your obligations as a WSAVA member would principally be carried out by your WSAVA representative and include:
Ensure that the annual membership dues are paid in a timely manner (for full and affiliate members) Provide and keep current your association information, including contact details, membership numbers, and activities, as posted on your association page on the WSAVA website Provide an annual report to the Assembly members Attend the annual Assembly meeting, where the business of the WSAVA is conducted, or make alternative arrangements for voting through either proxy assignment or pre-Assembly vote submission Distribute the WSAVA monthly news and any additional WSAVA information to your membership in a timely manner

AGENDA

DISCUSSIONS
1. The Chairman introduced and stated visible improvements after conference andworkshops, discuss strategy and straighten the policy of association, endorse thegoals for coming year.
2. The Chairman suggested the draft agenda for continuing education of membersthrough forthcoming conferences, workshops and trainings.
3. The Chairman suggested to develop unified registry for dogs and cats. The unifiedregistry will keep information of dogs and cats personal data (microchipping,vaccination, registration address, holder name, etc).
4. The Chairman proposed candidates to participate in WSAVA World Congress.5. The ARMSAVA members made short presentations on ongoing problems and all
together discuss solutions, discussed innovations on treatment methods/protocols,new technics and higher standards to implement.
