WHO IS ARISTOTLE?

Aristotle was a Greek philosopher who lived in Macedonia, Greece.

• Around 350 BC, he went to study with Plato at his (Plato’s)

academy in Athens.

• He left the school after Plato’s death.

• Aristotle returned to Macedonia and tutored the son of a king,

who was later known as Alexander the Great.

• After Alexander became King, Aristotle founded Lyceum, his

own academy.

• Although he studied under Plato, Aristotle had different interests

from him; he was more interested in science and using logic to

find how the world worked.
