Slow down to speed up! I have heard

that somewhere and it sounds like an

interesting concept - just have to figure

out how to put it into practice now.

The summer is half over (what we have

had of course) and we are planning for

the rest of the year already, especially

behind the scenes at An Siopa Bui.Well I have lots and lots of news so I

best get on!

Summer Extravaganza 5-7 August

This was our original Extravaganza,

and is now in its 6th year (or is it 7th?).

A great weekend of craft classes held at

our shop in Spiddal. Join us for a class

or a day, or if you really feel like a

crafty feast - a whole weekend. Look

ahead in the newsletter for all the class-

es, I know I fancy a few myself.

Great Big Craft Extravaganza -

Athlone 30 Sept 1,2 October 2011

Because it is a BIG Extravaganza, we

are very busy organising this event at

the same time. We have most of the

shops and sponsors sorted so class lists

will be available shortly. Why not visit

our new website and pre-book for first

look at the class lists and opportunity

for early booking. This will ensure that

you get exactly which classes you want

and suppliers like the fabulously creative

Hunky Dory and Creative Expressions.

And of course we got all the latest

goodies from our regular suppliers such

as Woodware and Sizzix.

Website News

I am sure that many of you will have

realised that our website is down for a

complete make-over. It is looking reallywonderful. We are at the stage of put-

ting all the products in and then will be

ready for a grand re-opening with lots

of specials. If you are not on the email

mailing list and would like to get your

newsletter (and in fact more newslet-

ters) by email - please let me know.

Email allows me to update you more

often, and we also include some special

little discounts as we are saving on

postage. Another great way of keeping

in touch is to become a fan of our

Facebook page - the quickest updates for

sure.

Sizzix Club

We are very excited to be launching a

Sizzix Club. This is a great idea that

was thought up by a Sizzix customer. It

is going to be so exciting allowing us to

have new dies more often and at a lower

price. Have a good read about it and

make sure to put your name on the text

list for this one.

Yellow Club News

Just to say thank you so much for your

support for all the Yellow Clubs this

year - they are going from strength to

strength and growing every month.

This means we are able to buy in larger

quantities and give our members even

better deals. The next special edition

bags are the Wedding Bag, and aChristmas Special Edition bag. On the

standard bags, the September bag will

be a Christmas Bag to get you all ready

for making festive cards.

Just to be fair, we have included a little

voucher in this newsletter as well so if 

you visit us over the summer don’t for-

get to bring it along - it is only valid in

our Spiddal shop though!

Yes, we are back, and I am of course more excited than ever. We are currently con-

firming shops, finalising tutors and getting all the details ironed out. Be sure to visit

The Sizzix Club!!!

Get the most out of your die cutting machine - be it a

Big Shot, Cuttlebug, Grand Calibur or whatever. We arecalling it the Sizzix Club and are very excited to have

the support of Sizzix.

Join us once a month for a crafty get together where we

will have a chance to share ideas and of course dies

and embossing folders.

The concept is simple - pay 7Euros a month which will

be used to build up a library of dies which can be taken

out of the club like books - there will also be an

opportunity to cut out and share shapes on the night.

Felting, jewellery and something in between. Kim is a cre-

ative soul and is always coming up with new ideas. Choose

to come for the morning (felting) or the afternoon (jewellery)

Schools are back and it’s time to get to work on your

Christmas cards. Great ideas for decoupage, flowersoft and

more at this great demo day.

 Join us at our Summer Coffee Mornings, the kids can paint 

pottery in the shop while you have some crafty chat, cake

and a great free demo! Our August Coffee morning will take

place on the 5th and will form the first day of our

Extravaganza with a free demonstration of the latest BCE

products from Linda Dawson. Sarah will be showing us the

ins and outs of the Hougie Board, the latest craft tool to hit 

the market. No more measuring for all of us!!!

Wednesday Card Classes -

mornings and sometimes eveningsWe have a great Wednesday cardmaking

class every Wednesday morning from 10:30

to 12:30. And, sometimes we even repeat it

on Wednesday evenings.

We make 2 cards and it only costs 10 Euro.

It really is a fab class and is becoming more

and more popular. Bookings are now impor-

tant. Join our text list and you will get a little

reminder with a sneak peak on a Tuesday

and then all you need to do is reply to say

you are coming.

This is a great class for all levels and we even

do requests (Special birthdays, Anniversaries

etc).

 Scrapbooking Crops Scrapbooking CropsWe have been really bad at getting together to scrap

this year, and it has mostly been my fault (and horri-

ble things like shingles). I am really going to try and

remedy this. Please help me by joining us for our 

evening scrapbooking crops. It costs only 5 Euro,

and we start at 6:30 ish and finish around 9 ish. We

will try and return to our standard get-togethers are

on the second Thursday of the month and the last

Tuesday of the month, but we might make it a bit

more often, depending on the demand.

The best idea is to join our text mailing list and we

will give you a quick text to remind you about any

crops and to let you know if we have a layout to

scraplift. To join the list - send me a text with the
