Amway being an abbreviation of "American Way
Jay Van Andel and Richard DeVos, a pair of
direct sales veterans, launched Amway in 1959.
In August 1949, DeVos and Van Andel signed up
to become distributors for Nutrilite food supplements.

in April 1959 they and some of their top distributors formedThe American Way Associationto represent the distributors and look for additional products to market.
Their first product was calledFrisk, a concentrated organic
cleaner developed by a scientist in

National Project for the Visually Challenged
Under the National Project for the Visually Challenged, AOF has ensured that around 85,000 visually challenged school-going children have had access to Braille textbooks. Between 1999-2005 this project has covered Rajasthan, Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. This work - done twice each in three states was carried out in partnership with the All India Confederation of the Blind (AICB) and the National Association for the Blind (India) NAB.

Amway has an integrated approach towards selection. They take into account the academic achievements, skills, competencies, relevant experience that a candidate has gained over a period of time and the cultural fitment.
What types of internships does Amway offer students:
The main groups are R & D, IT, supply chain, finance, HR, communications, and general business.
Each intern is given a mentor and a specific project to work on over a 12 week period. Each assignment consists of a "real world" project as opposed to something just made up to fill the intern's time.
What knowledge and skills would an intern gain from an internship with Amway:
Students work on real-world projects and they learn how to communicate and interact in a professional business environment. Interns are also given the opportunity to make important decisions and have the chance to work with individuals from a variety of different cultures.
