Currently employed with Essar Power Hazira Ltd, Hazira, Surat as Manager – Operations of 2X150MW Multi Fuel (COREX Gas and PF Fired) Fired Thermal Power Plant since 12th May 2015.

Previously employed with Essar Power Gujarat Ltd, Salaya, Jamnagar as Deputy Manager – Operations of 2X600MW PF fired Thermal Power Plant from 12th July 2010 to 11th May 2015.

Work Experience:

o Have an experience of 5+ years in Power Plant Operation

o Presently working in 2X150 MW unit. ESSAR POWER HAZIRA LIMITED, Hazira as Desk Engineer1.) In unit start up activity involved in Boiler Light up, Corex gas firing, mill operation and

maintains and monitors unit auxiliaries.2.) During normal running maintain and monitors the unit and its auxiliary parameters.3.) Ensuring the equipment isolation both electrical and mechanical isolation when equipment

is in permit.4.) Taking schedule changeover of plant auxiliaries as per schedule.5.) Emergency handling and taking planned shutdown as well as emergency shutdowns

o Worked in Gas fired Boiler(487 TPH)- Taking corex burners in service and shutdown of corex burners and checking corex MFT condition in simulation during logic checking.

o Commissioning of Coal mills- Reviewed all coal mill, coal feeder & PA fan logics and made necessary changes in logics & First trial run of coal mill at 30TPH coal flow established the coal firing.

o Commissioning of Coal Handling System- Checking of pull court switches of coal belt and involved in first trial run of coal conveying system to coal bunkers.

o Commissioning of Fly Ash Handling System- lined up system with the vendor & done ash conveying line flushing with compressed air up to fly ash silo and operated Wet conditioner for ash disposal system.

o Plant water system erection and commissioning

1.) Narmada Water pumps, water pipe line and valve erection as per P&IDs and isometric drawings of around 5kms long pipe line and follow up of material with vendors.

2.) After system erection, taken first trial up of pumps and successfully commissioned the system.

o Alkali cleaning of various systems.1.) Coordinated with project team for making necessary loops for detergent flushing of

condensate and feed water system.2.) Coordinated with chemical department for turbidity and PH values.

o Lube oil flushing.1.) Coordinated with project team for making different loops for different stages.2.) Operated the large flow flusher device YDC-700 and coordinated with chemistry department

for NAS values.o CEP commissioning.

1.) Ensured the system(mainly vacuum balancing line, mechanical sealing and self sealing line) erection as per drawing and lined up the pump for first trial.

2.) After start up monitor the pump’s vibration and temperature.

o Generator seal oil system.1.) Involved in DPR setting to ensure necessary pressure difference between hydrogen and its

seal pressure.o Steam Blowing.

1.) During steam blowing from site, lined up the CW pumps ensured the safe and proper operation of pumps, HOPD valve operation and its hydraulic skid operation.

o Two week training program on plant operation given by HPE (Chinese) personnel attended in Jamnagar.

· Summer Training at NTPC Badarpur ( June – July 2009)

Got the initial exposure of Boiler, Turbine, Generator their auxiliaries and other various plant components, Water treatment plant, Coal handling and switchyard.

· Summer Training at NTPC Faridabad (june-2008)

Undergone one month training at 432MW combined cycle Gas Turbine and it’s auxiliaries and also got exposure to HRSG system.

· Training at NTPC Badarpur (210 MW) as part of our curriculum

o Scheme Tracing: intensive scheme tracing of lines from Boiler, Turbine, Water treatment and Electrical system.

o Rotational on Job Training (Operations): Intensive observation of all the three major plant components- Boiler, Turbine, Generator about their working, their auxiliaries and about their control from the UCB.

o Rotational on Job Training (Maintenance): Observed the maintenance work as done in the Turbine, Boiler and Generator and their related auxiliaries.

o Simulator training: Also completed a certificate course in Power Plant operations on a 500 MW simulator.
