Größe der Aufspaltung Δ im Ligandenfeld abhängig von:
• Elektronegativität und Größe der Liganden (-Akzeptoren: großes , -Donoren: kleines )
• Zahl der Liganden ( Okt > Tet)
• Oxidationsstufe des Zentralatoms ( wächst mit steigender Ladung des Zentralions)
• Ordnungszahl des Metalls ((3d) < (4d) < (5d) )
In den spektrochemischen Reihen sind Liganden und Zentralatome nach der Stärke der Aufspaltung geordnet, die sie verursachen.
