Transmission & distributionAbeinsa is the top international contractor in T&D according to the latest available publication by ENR. In the last decade, the company has been awarded with over 25,000 km of new transmission lines (including AC as well as DC). Experience and recognitionAbeinsa started its T&D activity in 1944, when the company installed a 15 kV transmission line and a transformer station in Spain. Twenty two years after the beginnings of the activity, Abeinsa started the construction of its first transmission line abroad. Specifically, a 500 kV transmission line in Argentina. Today, the company has develop transmission lines and electrical substations in more than 30 countries around the world.

PhotovoltaicAbeinsa started its photovoltaic activity in 1992 in Spain with the construction of the PV plant “Toledo PV”, with 1 MW of peak power. This plant was the first commercial PV plant in Spain and the largest of Europe until 1995. Since then, Abeinsa has consolidated this business line with PV plants of different kinds constructed around the world (Spain, Japan, United States, etc.).
