Obarajuku HonjinA lodging for 'Daimyo,' feudal lords, on their way to the capital, Edo, it's the only one remaining on the Tokai-do and Koshu-Kaido Roads in Kanagawa Prefecture. Ogura BridgeThis beautiful arch bridge, built in 1938, is a registered tangible cultural property of Sagamihara City, and also noted among: 50 Kanagawa Scenic Sites, 100 Kanagawa Bridges, and 8 Sagamigawa Picturesque Sites. The bridge is lit up and lanterns are set afloat on the river in summer.

E-2 Ishii House (Old 'Minka' Folk House) Yoshino-juku Fujiya① This opulent 300-year-old home with 6 equal-sized rooms is a national important cultural property. Tours are by appointment only. Website: http://www5.plala.or.jp/ishii/② Built around 1897, this traditional 'Machiya' (merchant home) style architecture, exemplifies 'Yoshino-juku' rest-stop lodging on the old Koshu-Kaido Road. A registered tangible cultural property of Sagamihara City (registered in 2014).

Old Seiryuji Temple Historical Residence (Old 'Minka-en' House Garden)An Edo Period thatch-roofed house at Sagamigawa Nature Village Park. Former temple quarters were moved to this location from Kami-Tsuruma.
E-2A Paleolithic Period site, Tanamukaihara ruins is a national historic site. In the park at the site, artifacts from the Paleolithic Period, restored pit-dwellings from the Jomon Period, and burial mounds from the Kofun (Tumulus) Period, are on display.

Shokakuji TempleIt ’s known as 'Haiku' (Japanese poetry) temple since there are numerous stones with famous haiku poets inscribed on them. It’s one of the sites on the Tsukui Kannon pilgrimage. The garden is resplendent with Azaleas and Camellias. The next public exposition will be held in 2020.

C-2 Iiyama Kannon (Kannon at Chokokuji Temple)This temple is well-known as the 6th sacred place on the 33 Bando Kannon pilgrimage. Kannon-do Hall is designated as tangible cultural property of Atsugi city. There is the legendary ‘dosho’(copper bell) that is designated an important cultural property of Kanagawa prefecture in this temple. The roofstyle of hondo is called ‘hogyo-zukuri’. The roof is made by copper sheet (douban-buki), and all the roof edges are gathered at the center. It is famous as a temple of matchmaking as well as being popular for its cherry blossoms.

The center operates to support interaction between the water reservoir area and urban regions, and to promote the bountiful nature of the Lake Miyagase area. Sports and environmental events are held here.
Prefectural Miyagase Yamanami CenterThe highlight here is seasonal water discharge from the dam, a tourist at t rac t ion f rom Apr i l through November. In addition to site tours, visitors may learn the importance of the multipurpose dam and water resources by handling displays.

The park adjacent to Miyagase Dam is famous for its 'Flower Slope,' featuring over 40 varieties of Azalea, numbering about 44,000. A wide variety of flowers and trees can be seen all four seasons. Visit Adventure Forest and Children's Square, or Craftwork Village to experience weaving and dyeing, and Aikawa Town Museum.
Kanagawa Prefectural Aikawa Park
The farmer's market sells fresh local farm produce and handicrafts. A plenty of produce direct from the fields is on offer here. Handicraft workshops such as rope-braiding and pottery making are also available.
The visitor center reopened after renovation in May 2016. Visitors may acquire information on sightseeing spots, events, and nature in the Lake Miyagase area here. Educational programs and nature activities are available.

This local museum displays historical artifacts of the Miyagase area, including ancient tools used in everyday life. Visitors may have a glimpse at local history and take a rest.
