The background is purple not white – goes against the usual codes and conventions of a magazine – more interesting – trendsetters.

Font – simple but big and bold – not too intellectual – easy to understand.

Clothes of the model is quite casual – casual connotations towards the magazine.

The transparent like box in the lower centre makes the writing stand out more.

Message written from former student about her gap year could attract a teen age audience as they can relate.
