67 Minutes for Mandela
“Nelson Mandela has spent 67 years making the world a better place. We're asking you for 67 minutes.”
Mandela's birthday is on 18 July, and the call is out to the MDS family to celebrate his birthday by acting on the idea that each person has the power to change the world….
“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela
On the 18th July MDS will be dedicating 67 minutes to a Radical Readers Tutor centre and equipping a child with a confident competence in the art of reading… AND YOU’RE INVITED!
There is overwhelming evidence that the first six years of a child’s development are the most critical. These early years profoundly impact learning for the rest of their lives. If a child is unable to read by the end of grade one, their chances of successfully completing school are significantly diminished. Inadequate preparation in the pre-school and early foundation phase is not something students easily recover from.

67 Minutes for Mandela
Diepsloot has a huge number of children who are not accessing formal early childhood development (ECD) services due to factors - including inadequate family income, difficulty in accessing child care (distance), inadequate information and education regarding the importance of child development.
RADICAL READERS‘ program is designed to equip children with a confident competence in the art of reading from an early age.
Your 67 minutes can change a destiny! Be there!
