The flood impact of future extreme typhoon eventBefore TCCIPWithout dynamic downscaling projection data and well-developed modules, impact of future extreme typhoon event is difficult to be assessed.

After TCCIPAn innovative module was created to connect RCM and flood simulation (SOBEK model) under climate change in TaiwanWith dynamic downscaling data, the flood characteristics of future extreme typhoon event were studied.

The loss assessment of future extreme typhoon eventBefore TCCIPWithout dynamic downscaling projection data and well-done modules, the assessment of future flood loss is rather difficult.

After TCCIPTaiwan typhoon Loss Assessment System (TLAS)An innovative module was created to connect meteorology, flood simulation and TLAS under climate change in Taiwan.With dynamic downscaling data, the flood loss of future extreme typhoon event were examined.

TCCIP對政府部門的貢獻(2013.2月提供國科會資料)

臺灣氣候變遷科學報告協助經建會「氣候變遷調適政策綱領」第二章之內容撰寫(101.6.25核定)提供「臺灣氣候變遷科學報告2011」精簡版給相關經建會等35個相關部會約70份完成「臺灣氣候變遷科學報告2011」英文精簡版翻譯及出版,提供環保署組成之UNFCCC COP18官方代表團之相關文宣資料

科學資料服務提供水利署「因應氣候變遷之水環境衝擊與調適計畫」之相關氣候科學數據與應用服務提供氣象局氣象資料數位化、網格化與均一化之相關技術合作與支援提供超過11個政府部門(如經建會、國科會、能源局、工業局、林務局、水保局、農試所、建研所、工研院、中研院、雪霸公園管理局)、40個相關研究計畫之氣候變遷科學數據與諮詢服務「氣候變遷推估與資訊平台網站」服務超過16000人次(含所有使用者)

科學知識服務與經建會共同辦理「臺灣氣候變遷科學報告與資料應用說明會」(101.10.25)協助經建會地方調適團隊進行氣候變遷科學知識說明與宣導(102.1.15)完成「統計降尺度應用手冊」,提供給水利署之氣候變遷研究團隊與水利署氣候變遷團隊進行氣候變遷資料應用座談會,進行資料應用說明以及水文衝擊應用之情境設定

第一期計畫(99-101)年的背景第八次科技會議的結論:制定國家環境變遷政策調適綱領、積極推動關鍵科技之整合研發工作、氣候變遷與降低災害風險等相關科研課題。第一期計畫的目標:建構氣候變遷跨領域研究與應用整合平台臺灣氣候變遷推估與降尺度方法建立落實國科會氣候變遷研發成果於部會之調適政策與國際接軌並強化臺灣區域氣候研究之重點特色定期出版國家氣候變遷研究報告團隊成果納入IPCC AR5報告*

TCCIP團隊過去三年從經驗中學習、禀持「研發應用、科學服務」的精神已達成上述目標。

1. The Working Group is jointly led by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Council for Economic Planning and Development (CEPD).
