    CHAP. 2 9 0 . - A n Act To authorize the purchase by the Secretary of Com-merce of a site, and the construction and equipment of a building thereon, foruse as a constant frequency monitoring radio station, and for other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of theUnited States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretaryof Commerce be , and he is hereby, authorized to purchase a suitablesite, provided a suitable site now owned by the Government is notavailable for the purpose, and to contract for the construction thereonof a building suitable for installation therein of apparatus for useas a constant frequency monitoring radio station, and for theconstruction' of a suitable roadway, power, and communicationfacilities, at a cost not to exceed $50,000.
