The show was held on the 21st and 22nd of April. To commemorate the 400th anniversary of Nagaoka, the show venue was changed to the Convention Center Hive Nagaoka.

The Niigata branch of the All Japan Nishikigoi Promotion Associa-tion (Shinkokai) has been holding this show as a place where anyone can en-ter with readily available junior koi, in order to inform the public about their charms. Their enthusiasm and achievements were highly evaluated and the show was decided to be held under the auspices of the Shinkokai, starting this time.

Mr. Pan Zhi Cheng’s Showa Sanshoku wins the memorial show!

The event took place at Narita Koi Farm on the 29th of April. The num-ber of the participating breeders al-most doubled to 11 from the last show, consequently that of the visitors, from Japan and overseas, ex-ceeded 100.

The eleven breeders are, Sakai Fish Farm, Okayama Momotaro-Koi,

Dainichi Koi Farm Toyota, Kondo Koi Farm, Omosako Koi Farm, Isa Koi Farm, Matsue Nishikigoi Center, Nogami Koi Farm, Beppu Fish Farm, Ueno Fish Farm, and Tamaura Fish Farm.

Not only the high level of exhibits but also the presence of each koi breeder attracted a large number of koi

The event was held at Garden Island of Tokyo Prince Hotel on April 8. Odakan worked as the agent for the Kohaku that won the grand champion-ship in the All Japan Koi Show this February. This koi won the grand championship in the All Japan Young Koi Show four years ago. A single agent winning the two big titles is un-precedented in history. Due to these splendid achievements, this year’s

Odakan event drew a great number of participants from Japan and abroad.

Each entry to the Odakan Cup Show was sold at the end of last year at the price of 30,000, 50,000 or 100,000 yen. The Odakan raised all of the sold Tosai under the same condi-tions. A prize of 1 million yen for the grand champion and that of 200,000 yen for each size champion, are pre-pared along with other supplementary
