away in peace at age 84

Thursday, September 26th,

2019 at Laurels Nursing

Home of Coldwater. She

was born August 30th,

1935 in Angola, IN to

Leslie and Leota Shaf-

fer. Graduated from

Coldwater High School

and started her journey to

motherhood.

Natomi has two surviving

children, Jeffrey Gundrum and

Daniel Gundrum, and five grandchildren, Dominique

Thorne, Jeffery Gundrum II, Dakota Gundrum,

Christina Gundrum, and Destiny Gundrum. She also

has five great-grandchildren, Amir Trottman, Adalynn

and Dixie Burlew, Natyle Burlew, and Ivy Pritchett.

Natomi had a passion for spending time with family

and taking care of her kids and grandkids. She will al-

ways be remembered as the kind, fun, loving person

she was.

was held Monday, Septem-

ber 30, 2019 at 11:00 am at

St Charles Borromeo

Church with Rev. Fr.

Robert Creagan officiating.

Visitation was held at the

church, prior to the service,

beginning at 10 am

Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements

are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Stella Margaret was born June 21, 1929 in Sherwood to

John & Stella (Warkoczeski) Diamond. She married the love

of her life, Charles Hensley on August 2, 1952. Together

they worked, played & laughed for 42 wonderful years. He

preceded her in death in 1994.

After her family sold the family farm, Stella started her ca-

reer in Coldwater at the Bluebird Hotel. She worked for 24

1⁄2 years at Federal Mogul without missing a single day.

When the company closed, she worked in Quincy at Acorn

until her retirement in 1984. She made many friends along

the way.

Stella made friends wherever she went. She frequented

many restaurants around town, even though she was a fan-

tastic cook. She was an active member of St Charles Bor-

romeo Church where she belonged to the 50+ Group and the

Ladies Guild. She was always thinking of others and loved

to make people laugh with her quick wit and many stories.

Her humor, smile and peanut butter fudge will be missed by

many.

Survivors include her niece, Harriet Bronson, and nephew,

Robert Francisco. Her great niece (& friend) Joanette Fran-

cisco, many great nieces and nephews Maria, Debbie,

David, Chad, Jason, Kelly, Lisa, Jessica, Kenneth, McKen-

zee, Caleb & Collins, brother in-law and sister in-law Don

and Diane Hensley, her friends Kelly Tackett, Adelle

Neitzert and Sheri Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister,

Era Diamond and 3 brothers, Harold Francisco, Florian

nasiewicz, 85, of Quincy,

passed away on Wednes-

day, September 25, 2019.

A graveside memorial

service will be held at

11:30 AM, Saturday, Oc-

tober 5, 2019 at Lake-

view Cemetery in

Quincy, with Pastor

Mark Case of California

Community Church offi-

ciating.

Immediately following the service will be a gathering and

meal at the residence of Don and late wife Jo. Please see

family members for the location.

Don was born June 15, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana to Wal-

ter and Gertrude (Jozowick) Banasiewicz. He served our

country from 1957 to 1959. Soon after married his wife

Joann on April 10, 1960 in Niles.

He worked at South Bend Toy for most of his life and re-

tired from Corrugated Paper Products. He spent his young

years racing cars for fun. After retiring he could always be

found at the lake enjoying his favorite pastime, fishing. He

also loved music and spending time with his grandchildren.

Don is survived by his children, Brenda Hatcher of Panama

City, Florida, Donna (Dave) Hartz of Plymouth, Indiana and

Jeff (Laurie) Banasiewicz of Coldwater; his grandchildren,

Brandy (Dustin) Davis, Jason Nemeth, Donnie Leland, Josh

(Becky) Barnhart, Damion Hartz, Amanda (Taj) Ba-

nasiewicz, Diana Banasiewicz, Breanna (Ryan) Keller. and

Destiny (Shane) Banasiewicz; his 9 great grandchildren and

his siblings Loraine Cooper and David Banasiewicz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jo, his

granddaughter Patricia Nemeth, his great granddaughter

Roberta Davis, twin brother Ronald and brother Robert.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed

Elizabeth “Betty” Jean Rid-dle, 87, of Coldwater, passedaway on Friday, September27, 2019 surounded by herloving family at home.

Visitation for Betty will beheld on Friday, October 4,2019 from 11:30 – 1:00 PMat Dutcher Funeral Home inColdwater with funeral serv-ices at 1:00 PM at the fu-neral home, Pastor ClarkPolly officiating.

Interment will follow at Lockwood Cemetery in Coldwater. Betty was born on December 21, 1931 to William Prescottand Rhoda Ann (Reynolds) Frye in Toledo, Ohio. Her mar-riage to Allen Riddle ended in divorce.Betty worked as a caretaker with the Coldwater State Home

for over 20 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of theColdwater Red Hat Society and was very active at the Burn-side Senior Center in Coldwater. She was an Avon Represen-tative for many years. Betty enjoyed reading, traveling,attending auctions, going to yard and garage sales, going tothe casino, attending dances and listening to Elvis Presley.She loved her dogs JD and Brandy as well as animals in gen-eral. Betty will be fondly remembered as being “Grandma”to everyone, as she never met a stranger, and all were wel-come in her home.

She is survived by her children; Cathy (Sherman) Stanleyof Coldwater, James (Sherrie) Riddle of Reading, William“Bill” (Alice) Riddle of Cynthiana, Kentucky, Allen Riddleof Coldwater, Charles (Sarah) Riddle of Quincy and MarkRiddle of San Bernadino, California, her 19 grandchildren;29 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren, Bettyis also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was pre-ceded in death by her parents, her 2 sons; Michael and StevenRiddle, her 2 brothers; Jim and Bill Frye and her sister, Bar-bara Herzog.

OBITUARYJean May Plettner

.She graduated from Coldwater High school in 1950 and

in 1952 she married her first husband, Jack D. Davis who

preceded her in death in 2011. Jean was a wonderful

mother, grandmother, and wife with a caring, loving heart

that loved the Lord and the people around her. She was very

active in church; Jean served the Lord as the women’s Bible

study leader and taught children’s Bible classes. Her fa-

vorite Bible verse was Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart does

good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”

She was known for her great sense of humor and enjoyed

making others laugh. Jean loved to travel, shop, cook, show

hospitality and be with her family; Jean was also an iden-

tical twin and they could be a double blessing, or double

trouble.

In addition to her husband, LeRoy, survivors include one

daughter, Diana Johnston of Coldwater; one twin sister,

Joan Twite of Coldwater; one brother, Jerry (Letha) Van-

Blarcom of Coldwater; two grandchildren, Luke N. Bovee

and Laura Jean (Anthony) Fleming both of Coldwater; and

three great-grandchildren, Royale, Israel, and Lemuel.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, first husband,

Jack, and two brothers, Lynwood and Stanley VanBlarcom.

In accordance to Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place

and a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October

12, 2019 at 11 AM at the World Harvest Assembly Church

on US-12 in Quincy, MI with Pastor Darrin Brown offici-

ating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral

Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family to be

donated to Jean’s favorite mission outreach in Costa Rica.

Gerald was born April 13, 1952 to Frank and Rita (Chre-

tien) Guzowski in Detroit. Jerry was a hardworking man,

working in various positions in the manufacturing industry.

He also spent time as a maintenance man at Masonville

Place.

Jerry enjoyed working on and restoring classic cars. He

was very mechanically inclined and spent time tinkering

on just about anything that needed work. Jerry will be re-

membered for his friendly, nice guy personality and great

sense of humor.

Gerald is survived by his companion of 27 years, Kathy

Brayton of Coldwater; his siblings Mike (Vicki) Guzowski,

Doreen Kosieracki, Frank (Randy Long) Guzowksi, Keith

(Laura) Guzowski, and Dawn (Mark) Grigereit; Kathy’s

children Jason Nowicki, Todd (Aleesha) Nowicki, Sam

(Misty) Brayton and many nieces & nephews.
