The use of tobacco products is a health, safety, and - 80 - environmental hazard for students, employees, visitors, and school facilies. Tobacco products may be displayed for a legimate instruconal or pedagogical purpose, conducted or supervised by a staff member. The acvity may not include smoking, chewing or otherwise ingesng the tobacco product. For purposes of this policy, “tobacco product” is defined as any product that contains or is made or derived from tobacco and is intended for human consumpon, to include cigarees, all lighted and smokeless tobacco products, as well as electronic or smokeless cigarees, vaporizers, and other electronic smoking devices even if they do not contain tobacco or nicone, cigars, pipes, chewing tobacco, snuff, and any other items containing or reasonably resembling tobacco or tobacco products. “Tobacco use” includes smoking, chewing, dipping, or any other use of tobacco products.
