    PROGRAMMES AT L&T, CHENNAI.

    8. Problem identified for the study

    Stress at work is a relatively new phenomenon of modern lifestyles. The nature of work

    has gone through drastic changes over the last century and it is still changing at whirlwind speed. They

    have touched almost all professions, starting from an artist to a surgeon, or a commercial pilot to a sales

    executive. With change comes stress, inevitably. Professional stress or job stress poses a threat to

    physical health. Work related stress in the life of organized workers, consequently, affects the health of

    organizations.

    The study will focus on the effectiveness of stress management training

    programmes of the organisaion. It will bring the state of employees stress before and after the stress

    management training programme.

    9.1 OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY.

    9.1.1 Primary objective:

    To study the effectiveness of the stress management training program conducted in Larsen & Toubro

    Limited.

    9.1.2 Secondary Objectives:

    to know the level of stress before the stress management training programme

    to know the level of stress after the stress management training programme. To measure the performance of employees after the stress management training programme.

    10. Proposed Methodology: Descriptive Research

    3. Frame work of data analysis PERCENTAGE ANALYSIS, PIE CHART, DIAGRAMS

    CHI- SQUARE TEST, WEIGHED AVERAGE METHOD

    4. Expected Deliverables:

    The study helps the employees to share their views and helps the management to identify the level

    of stress faced by their employees due to particular factor. Suitable recommendations are provided

    to the organization which helps to find which factor results in reducing the stress levels of its

    employees to achieve better productivity and increased employee and customer satisfaction

    11.Time Schedule: Sep 2010 to Dec 2010.

    12.Limitation:

    Analysis was done when the employees where at work and hence they were unable to

    spend much time for it.

    The response could have been biased and might vary with time.
