    Abstract

Fashion responds most sensitively to the flow of time and changes and develops accordingly. Also, fashion has changed with mutual connection to the field of pure art, and in terms of diverse expression techniques concerning color and form in art style, fashion appeared in creative forms while providing many motives. Therefore, understanding such art style can be an important factor to understanding the flow of fashion.

Minimalism, just like its name states, is art fundamentally reduced to elements without any decorations on the surface or expressive activities. It is also an art trend emphasizing on the whole rather than parts mainly using simple geographic forms. This paper analyzed the fashion styling from the appearance of minimalism to today's minimalism to observe the concept of minimalism fashion styling that is being emphasized in modern fashion, and aims on contributing to the field of fashion styling that is creating an academic system through such analysis.

As research method, first the concept, background of appearance, and characteristics of minimalism were observed through documents, and then the concept and characteristics of styling.

By analyzing them I studied minimalism fashion in modern fashion, and then displayed the illustrated magazine for minimalism fashion style.

The results have been deduced as following;First, minimalism fashion from since 1960s had silhouettes gradually moving on from vertical lines

to curves, and as for the display, it also evolved from simple styling of past outfits to today's styling that pursues overall perfection by using proper accessories.

Second, minimalism fashion trend of the past were mainly of styles that used simple designs and bold colors, but as time flows, it eventually combined with natural colors.

Third, minimalism styling display was even more maximized by using simple colors. It expresses the simplicity of brief colors by using black and white, along with bold colors.

Forth, images of minimalism styling were maximized by using repeating patterns of geographic shapes.

Minimalism, just as the name states, recognizes the objectivity without any decoration based on moderation. Thus this study wishes to contribute to the field of fashion styling and reviving the identity of minimalism by actively accommodating to the field of fashion styling by adding the concept of fashion styling to minimalism based on the essentials after analyzing minimalism fashion styling.
