b) The CMC agreed that for all other products falling outside the scope of TC 108 the implementation *timeframe of the Test Schedule based on IEC 62133 shall apply

c) The CMC agreed that the IEC TC 108 position/information be communicated to the IEC and IECEE Community through the IEC E-Tech communication means

d) The CMC agreed that the issue is reported to the CAB and possibly further to the SMB with the aim of sensitizing TC 108 and SC 21A to do their utmost to overcome the present problem

IECEE CB Scheme

An IT product used with lithium cell apply for IEC 60950-1 before 2012/5/1,

its cell shall comply with UL 1642 or IEC 62133.

Except those falling under TC 108, battery packs used in these end-

products shall be:

•Certified or NRTL Recognized/Listed to IEC 62133, or

•NRTL Recognized/Listed to UL standards and further tested by an accredited

laboratory to the differences between the two standards. (This option will only be available until May 2012, at which time Certification/Listing to IEC 62133 is mandatory)

ETL Listing

A moveable secondary battery pack used in a transportable IT

product (like NB) applies for ETL, the battery pack shall comply

with UL 2054 and its cell shall comply with UL 1642.

So long as the end-product standard does not specify

particular battery standards and the end-product is only being
