Lotus-Pond ParkLotus-Pond ParkLotus-Pond Park, located in the southern part of Yangzhou uburbs, was originally given the name of Nanchi and Yanchi Park, later, it was called the Lotus-Pond Park because lotus is widely planted there. Within the park, the Nine-Peak Hill of the Taihu Lake can be found. When Emperor Qianlong made a visit to the park, he wrote an inscription on a board for it.Roaming around the park, fascinating scenes can be discovered every where, For example, ancient courtyards and pavilions are mirrored by water of the lake, the spring water slowly passes by exquisite rookeries, and bold and straight trees are accompanied by flowers in blossom.

The Twenty-four Bridge Scenic Spot, located in the western section of the Slender West Lake, has been a lure since ancient times.As to the picturesque Shugang Ridge-Slender West Lake sight, including Discovering Spring Tower, Exquisite Flower World, Xichun Tower and the twenty-four Bridge Scenic Spot, the last one has added the charm with its unique flavor.

Zhuxi ParkZhuxi Park

Zhuxi Park is located on the bank of the Grand Canal, by the southern most of Zhuxi Temple. Built in 1989, it was named after the ancient relics of "Zhuxi Pavilion" in the Tang Dynasty (618-907)The Zhuxi Temple used to be called Chanzhi Temple, which was an imperial palace for Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty for short stays in Yangzhou. The backyard is a temple well known in the Tang Dynasty. The surroundings landscape is charming. Most scenic spots and historical sites in Yangzhou gather here.Today, some scenic spots have been rebuilt in the park according to a meticulous plan, including "Zhuxi Pavilion", "Zhuxi Refined Palace" and "Bright-Moon Bridge", which represent the best scenery of Zhuxi Park.The Zhuxi Park is acclaimed for its colorful potted-flowers and blossoming tulips. The annual Tulip Fair adds charm to the park.

Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty used to make a stopover in Yangzhou on each of his six southern tours. Since the local authorities and salt dealing natives understood that the Emperor's interest usually focused on the landscapes of mountains and rivers, they spared no expense to go in for large-scale constructions by inviting experienced artificers to dig rivers and pile up mountains and hills for the Emperor's entertainment.As a result, exquisite gardens were erected one after another on the two banks of the Slender West Lake, Today, the route of Emperor Qianlong's tour on water in Yangzhou is unique.Starting from the Tianning Temple at the foot of Meihua Hill, where Emperor Qianlong once stayed, also known as the former place of the Imperial Garden, the itinerary includes Yechun Garden, Hongyuan Garden, the Curved Stones in the Heaven of Caves, City Silhouette Under Green Poplars, Potted-Landscape Garden, Rainbow Bridge, Spring Willow Along the Bank, Xuyuan Garden, the 4-Bridge Scenery Under the Misty Rain, Moon-Appreciating Tower, Small Golden Hill, Blowing-and-beating Platform, Fuzhuang Village, Five-Pavilion Bridge, Clear Cloud over the White Pagoda, Exquisite Flower World, Discovering-Spring Tower, Xichun Tower, 24-Bridge Scenery, Running Water Flowing from Stone Cliffs up to the Daming Temple with a history of over a thousand years
