His parents wished that he could successfully enter Abraham Lincoln High School – the lowest acceptance rate high school in the Bay area. Because Lincoln high school also offered a Cantonese immersion program, students who graduated from a middle school Cantonese immersion program could get into Lincoln high school with priority. However, this year, the SFUSD changed Lincoln high school’s Chinese immersion program from Cantonese to Mandarin. All graduates from Cantonese immersion program must pass a Mandarin test to be admitted into Lincoln’s Mandarin immersion program. 学生升读。然而，今年校区改变了林肯高中的沉浸课程语言，从粤语改成了国
语。所有读粤语沉浸的学生都必须考国语，及格才能升读林肯高中。一直学粤

羡慕嫉妒恨的家长们都纷纷询问陈纳沙的父母，他们都不懂中文，究竟怎么教的，可以把纳沙的国语教得那么好。纳沙的父母说：“没有什么秘密。纳沙开始上学的那年，我同时也把他送进了华大中文学校。是华大让他不落后于起
点，也没落后在终点，终于笑到了 后，实现了上 难进的高中的梦想。” Envious parents all asked Nasa’s parents how they taught Nasa since both of them don’t speak a single word of Chinese. Nasa’s parents said: “We don’t have any secret. When Nasa started Kindergarten at this Cantonese immersion school, we also sent him to Huada Chinese Academy. It is Huada Chinese Academy that made him realize his dream to enter this lowest acceptance rate high school. He not only does not fall out of the start point, but also does not fall out of the end!”

让学生们可以到中国游学，在 真实的环境下学习正宗的汉语拼音和简体字。
这些多元化的中文课程，让不同背景、不同程度、不同要求，说不同母语的学
生，都能在华大得到一站式的中文教育，这种独特的课程安排，是目前全美没
有任何一家中文学校能够做到的！ In its twelfth year, Huada Chinese Academy has a dedicated group of Chinese language teachers. They all have years of Chinese language teaching experience from Mainland China, or possess certificate of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, or teaching credential from prestige teaching colleges from China. Huada Chinese Academy will continue to provide nation’s most unique Chinese language programs for students of various needs on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The school will be located at the famous Lowell high school. Huada Chinese Academy’s Mandarin Chinese programs meet the California’s Seal of Biliteracy’s requirements so that students will become more competitive in job searching or college application after they graduate from high school. Huada has traditional Chinese school curriculum from Pre-‐school to high school. Huada also provides special Mandarin Chinese programs for students from non-‐Chinese families or for adopted children, or Chinese immersion students from Bay Area’s public or private school’s Chinese immersion program.
Huada Chinese Academy also offers AP Chinese class and many foreign language credit classes that their Chinese course credits can be transferred to the SFUSD high schools and many private high schools. In addition to that, we also provide classes that aim at passing Lincoln high school’s SDLP immersion program’s Mandarin entrance exam. Huada Chinese Academy is also working with China’s Overseas Affairs Office and Chinese Overseas Teaching Affairs Office to offer summer camp in Shanghai. Students can travel to Shanghai, China to receive the most authentic language instruction and experience. Huada’s diverse Chinese curriculum allows students with different language background, levels, needs or first languages to obtain one-‐station-‐for-‐all Mandarin and simplified character education. None of the nation’s Chinese language schools are able to provide similar learning experience for students like Huada.

华大 2015-‐2016学年招生工作指引
• 新旧生_Lowell 校舍的学生从 3月 21日起接受报名。 旧生要注意学校通知里的注册日期，请按照规定的日期到办公室为您的孩子办理注册手续。
• 旧生与新生在报名上的区别还包括: (1) 旧生报名免收报名费 (2) 旧生有更大的自由度可以挑选合适自己时间的课程。
• 收费须知: 华大一年上课时间为 10 个月共 33 个周。学校每年的三、四月为旧生的收费优惠月。请家长们尽量在优惠期里报名以享受华大给予的 10%折扣优惠， 每家庭第二个学生报读同科可另获 5 %学费折扣。旧生优惠期在四月底结束， 新生则在五月底结束。
• 学校仍然维持低收费不变，新生与旧生不同的是， 优惠只获 5%.的折扣。 本学年里学费因应学校的运作也有小小调整，希望家长能理解。
• 2014我们发出的学费奖励劵可以用于减低本学年的学费。
• 后，凡是替子女在华大已经注册的家长，另又介绍朋友的子女入读， 应获华大给予的 $8 元奖励.(一个家庭计算)。
Huada 2015-‐2016 School Year Enrollment Guidelines
• Enrollment for new and existing students at the Lowell campus begins on March 15th.
Existing students need to pay attention to the school’s notice, which contains assigned enrollment dates. Please come to the office to enroll your children on your assigned enrollment date.
• The differences in enrollment between new and existing students include: (1) registration fee is waived for existing students (2) existing students have more choices in choosing classes with suitable times.
• Fees: there are 33 sessions that span 10 months during Huada’s school year. The
discount period for existing student enrollment is during March and April of every year. We encourage parents to seize the opportunity for a 10% discount in tuition by enrolling during this period. The second child in every family can enjoy an
additional 5% discount in tuition. The discount period for existing students ends after April, and discounts for new students end after May.
• The difference between new and existing students is that new students receive a 5% discount for enrolling during the discount period. Tuition is subject to change depending on our costs. For this school year, we have a small amount adjust for operation fee. Thank you for your understanding.
• In 2014, we distributed tuition coupons as rewards that can be used towards this
year’s tuition.
• Lastly, for parents who enroll their children in the current school year, and refer other families to enroll, they will receive an $8 tuition rebate (per family referred).
