What is LEED?

• Consensus-based green building rating system

• Industry green building standard

• Separate rating systems for Design/Construction (NC) and Operations/Maintenance (EB:OM)

LEED-EB:O&M Portfolio Program• Pilot program established in 2007

• UCSB is one of three Universities participating nationally

• Documents many LEED credits based on campus-wide sustainable practices

• Generates efficiencies by taking a ‘volume certification’ approach to LEED

• Acknowledges campus sustainability andindividual building performance
