Introduction
The bridge is located in London U.K on the river Thames.
The bridge is next to the tower of London.
History
Construction started in 1886
Bridge was opened in 1894 by King Edward VII before he was made King of England.
When it was opened it was used mostly by foot passengers.
Architectural Features
One of the most recognizable symbols of the city.
Neo-Gothic towers.
Suspension bridge.
Design The bridge is 800 feet (244 m) in length.
Two towers each 213 feet (65 m) high.
The bridge can be raised to an angle of 86 degrees to allow river traffic to pass under it.
The pedestrian walkways are 143 feet (44 m) above the river at high tide.
Raising the Bridge Tower Bridge used to be raised every day but
nowadays it is raised only a couple of times a week and 24 hours' notice.
Color Scheme
The bridge itself is painted in blue, white, and red for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee. Its original color was chocolate brown

Britain.
