Book selecting: This is the place that records the previously

studied courses of the user. He or she can resume his/her study here.

Book editing: This is the place that user could find an already

existing book structure and by deleting or selecting some nods he/she may modify it in line with his/her own preference.

Select a course you want to tailor, choose those nods you interested and press the button “Tailor” (剪裁) to perform or “Cancel”

(放弃) to give up.

After the clicking of the “Tailor” (剪裁) button, there will be a summa

ry of all the selected nodes, user may also make some adaptation here.

This is the result of book editing. To begin study press “view the book” (察看详细内容) .

This the actual study stuff user could get. The left shows the book structure, while the right is the

content of selected node.

Book customizing: Here, the user can knit up a new book structure by

assigning attributes to each individual learning object (LO).

First, the user should select a subject he/she want to study. Here for instance the “Internet”.

Then, the particular subject may be broken down to many points. The user should chose some he/she

interested in.

And press the “OK” (确定) button to assign attributes to each of them.

The user could also preset the display pattern for each node which may include:

• Pure text (文本)• Graphic (图形)• And multimedia (多媒体) .

And then click the button “Do Customizing”(选择定制) .

Here, the user could review all the nodes he/she has set. To go further, press the button “Edit” (编辑) .

Now, the user has finished all the steps of book customizing. He/she may do it all again or just click “Vie

w the book” (察看详细内容) to begin study.

Book enquiry: Here, the user could search a book by book name, author, press house and ISBN number.

Personal Information Management function provides the user a place to update his/her personal data at any

time.

User could add, delete or edit a study plan with the function of study schedule management.

This is the place that records the examination archive with date, score and state.

Users may review the tested papers and do it again.

Users may also check the result of any test performed before with the score and a detailed

explanatory note.

In the Help Center, users could get detailed information aiding them to user NCEC.

Caution! Clicking “Account Canceling” (注销用户) will remove all history data of the current user.

Information is broken down in to four categories: System introduction, News, Technique news,

Educational resources.

Administrators can view, delete, edit and add information items.

Examination is divided into three kinds according to the subject: English, Computer and IQ test.

In the Test Papers Correcting function, administrators can correcting those subjective answers that could not be

done by the system automatically.

To start the system, double click the COURSE.BAT which is under the classes directory. And in the window shown blow, select a course, here for instance “ 数据库” , then click the b

utton “ 录入书” (Input a Book).

As shown below, a window within which a new book is edited will appear.

Then select a html file which contains the content of a book, and open it.This file could be download from

internet or get from other resources.

After the file is opened, the pure text content is editable within the window without all the useless

html tags.

You could insert tags like <book>, <section> and so on into any desired place within the context.

And then save it as an xml file.

Click the button “ 下一步” (Next), the dialog box will appear as shown below. This box is used to input t

he corresponding attributes of a book.

After clicking the “ 确认” (OK) button, a window will appear for editing any individual LO.

“ 属性一” (Attribute 1) cannot be blank while the other attributes are optional.

After the editing, press the button “ 保存学习对象” (Save LO) to save the edited learning object. And repeat this procedure to edit every LO then click t

he “ 完成” (Finish) button to finish the editing.

And then you will see the former window again, here you could edit another book or choose “ 退出” (Qui

t) to quit.

Then back to the original main window, here you could do all the stuff again or quit.

des to, and then perform editing or adding.

After the clicking of the button “ 添加” (Add), the box will appear as shown below, then input the name and other attribute

s of the nod, click “ 确定” (OK) button.

Then a new node is added in to the standard course structure as shown in the following window.

The windows given below will appear after the clicking of “ 确定” (OK) button. In order to edit it, you have to pr

ess the “ 修改” (Revise) button.

To start the LOM system, run the batch file named “lom.bat” which is under the directory classes. Then windows as shown below will appear, if you want to delete or edit any node, all you have to do is to select that node and press the button “ 删除” (Delete) or “ 编辑” (Edit) respectively. You could also add/insert a new

node by clicking the “ 添加” (add) button.

The following window will appear after the clicking of the button“ 添加” (Add). To edit the attributes of LOM, cl

ick the “ 确定” (OK) button.

The new book structure will be shown in the main window. You could quit the system with clicking the button

“ 退出” (Quit).
