Still Mind & Deep Thoughts #2

Venerable Cheng Yen ( Zhengyan)

A blissful life may not be materialistic and not necessarily possessing power, fame, wealth and status. It depends on care and fraternity between one another.

Life is like tightrope walking. If one does not earnestly look forwards but keeps looking back,

he is sure to fall off.

Treating others well under normal circumstances is not unusual. Treating others well at difficult times is truly great.

Giving way avoids dispute. Gentleness and loving-kindness can turn misfortunes into blessings.

Spiritual cultivation is noble when practicing it. Action

speaks louder than words.

When accepting a responsibility, accept it with full commitment.

When relinquishing , let go completely.

Our accomplishments over the years are built upon our words and deeds.

Thus, be discerning over them everyday.

A concentrated mind is one without discursive thoughts.

Eliminate ego-self. Cherish and keep company with each other.

Relate well with people . Do it with commitment and spontaneously.
