INTRODUCTION

▲ Solar panel refers to a panel designed to absorb the sun's rays as a source of energy for generating electricity or heating. Solar modules use light energy (photons) from the sun to generate electricity through the photovoltaic effect

company PVinsights reporting growth of 117.8% in solar PV

installation on a year-on-year basis

Over the long term there is clearly a systematic reduction in the price of cells and modules. For example, in 2012 it was estimated that the quantity cost per watt was about

US$0.60, which was 250 times lower than the cost in 1970 of US$150.
