Drop-out students returned to school : 479 drop out primary school students returned to school (270 boys & 209 girls)
44 drop out SSK students returned to school (29 boys & 15 girls)
177 drop out students returned to school (97 boys & 80 girls)
Restoration of Mid-day Meal :
Utensils have been restored in 40 SSKs and 156 Primary Schools. MDM isgoing on in 135 Primary Schools out of 160, and in 40 SSKs
Awareness generation and sensitisation : Demonstration of ORS, hand washing, use of safe drinking water, hygiene
education and practices, sanitation education, etc. have been organised in 240
schools covering 42247 students and teachers
The WES facilities have been improved (11 STB in SSK and 74 STB in Primary
School have been newly constructed in collaboration with RSM).

Significant observation
Communities are coming forward to test the drinking watersource at their own
Gram Panchayats are coming forward to repair the
platform of the hand pumps
Gram Panchayats are gradually putting more importanceon raising the platform of tube-wells
At present newly sunk tube-well is handed over to
community for using after testing of water sample whether
it is safe or not
Students of Kumirmari High School have come forward
and contributed to have sanitation facilities at their own
school

Overall understanding and community perception on WATER
and SANITATION towards Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) to bedeveloped
Capacity building of a selected task force group with developed
knowledge and understanding on public health threats in
emergencies and its critical linkages with DRR
Adequate access to safe drinking water, sanitation facilities and
good hygiene practices-as part of comprehensive mitigation
tool in DRR to be provided
