OLOW est une marque de vêtements française, créée en 2006 à Montreuil par Mathieu Sorosina et Valentin Porcher. Elle se distingue par des col-lections brutes, surréalistes, et prône un style de vie simple, fait de travail manuel, d’art, d’évasion et de poésie… Fidèle à des valeurs d’éthique, de proximité et d’indépendance, OLOW produit au Portugal, et collabore en majorité avec des artistes internationaux incon-nus. La marque organise éga-lement des expositions.

OLOW is a French clo-thing brand, created in Mon-treuil (France) in 2006 by Ma-thieu Sorosina and Valentin Porcher. It is distinguished by raw, surrealistic collections, and advocates a simple lifestyle, handmade craft, art, an escape, and poetry … In keeping with ethical values, proximity and independence, OLOW manufac-tures all its’ garments in Portu-gal and works mostly with un-known international artists. BAIE DES FUMÉES

Le rideau rouge se lève brusquement. Nous sommes là, immobiles sur la scène, flottant au milieu d’une immensité d’eau, un verre de Brennivín à la main. Le vent qui souffle en rafale nous glace le sang.

J’entends pester haut et fort autour de moi : « Mais franchement, qui a eu l’idée de cette collec-tion ? ». Dame nature n’a ici que faire de nos hu-meurs et les chevaux sauvages qui nous entourent sont eux aussi indifférents à nos jérémiades.

Nous fermons nos manteaux et buvons cul-sec le remontant. Le décor est lunaire, torturé, presque effrayant. On dirait une carte postale aux allures d’origine du monde.

Nous marchons. Tout semble irréel, nos yeux ont du mal à suivre le spectacle im-probable qui défile : des cascades vertigi-neuses aux geysers surréalistes en passant par des icebergs, cratères et volcans en tout genre… Nous nous sentons infiniment petits face à tant de grandeur. Etour-dis, nous plongeons dans des sources d’eau chaude, nous enveloppant de leur tendre fumée, lavant nos corps et apaisant nos esprits. Face à nous, des dizaines de ma-careux moines confortablement installés nous scrutent, attendant bouche bée le dénouement.

Nous nous assoupissons, le cœur léger, sans nous apercevoir qu’une vidange express s’opère sous nos pieds. Un à un, tous les éléments de notre environnement s’éva-porent. Un instant plus tard, nous sommes là , immobiles sur la scène, entouré de vêtements encore fumants soigneusement rangés sur des portants.

The red curtain rises sharply. We are there, motionless on stage, floating in the middle of an enormity of water, a glass of Brenni-vín in hand. The gusty wind chills our blood.

I hear a loud curse around me, : «But honestly, who had the idea of this collection?». Mother Nature doesn’t care about our moods and the wild horses around us are also indifferent to our whining.

We do our coats up and drink up. The scenery is outlandish, tortured, almost frightening. We could say it’s like a postcard of the origins of the world.

We walk. Everything seems unreal, our eyes have trouble following the improbable spectacle that continues: breathtaking waterfalls leading to surreal geysers through icebergs, volcanoes and craters of all kinds ... We feel infinitely small be-fore such magnitude. Dazed, we dive into the hot springs, enveloping ourselves in the tender smoke, cleaning our bodies and calming our minds.Before us, dozens of comfortably settled puffins scrutinize us, waiting speechless for an outcome.

We doze off, light hearted, without noticing the drain that is under our feet. One by one, all the elements of our environment evaporate. A moment later, we are there, motionless at the scene, surrounded by clothes that are still smoking and neatly arranged on hanging rails.
