the name of the career major/cluster We will accept a list of the courses/grades

provided by the CT to the HS counselor Counts in Computer Technology or the

Second Income Limit Initial income limit at time of enrollment = $50,000 Family income at the time the student enters

postsecondary cannot exceed $100,000 Applies to students who enter postsecondary

education for the first time in the fall 2012 (one-time check)

Students must file the FAFSA Adjusted Gross Income on the Federal tax return Students enrolled under special adoption provisions

have a higher 2nd income limit.

We Need YOU!

Encourage all students to file the FAFSA. Families who know they won’t qualify for Pell

still need to file. If they claim that they cannot file the FAFSA,

they should contact the Financial Aid director at the school they plan to attend.

Please stress the importance …No FAFSA = No possibility of OKPromise

Federal SAP Standards SAP = Satisfactory Academic Progress as defined by the school

in which they are enrolled Went into effect fall 2012 and applies to ALL OKPromise

postsecondary students Applies to ALL OKPromise students whether they are receiving

federal aid or not Contains both GPA rqmts and minimum standards for

completing courses in which the student enrolls Any OKPromise student on financial aid suspension for failure

to meet SAP, will not be eligible to receive the OKPromise award

Minimum College GPA

2.0 GPA for courses taken through the sophomore year (one-time check)

2.5 GPA for courses taken during the junior year and thereafter

Applies to students who enter postsecondary education for the first time in the fall 2012

Cooperative Agreements

Know the career majors and courses that are included in each Cooperative Agreement.

Keep Cooperative Agreements in sync with any changes with an annual review of each career major and courses.

EOC uses the credit-hour equivalent from Coop. Agreement as guide to paying a half-time or full-time scholarships.

Partial OKPromise Student enrolled in our “Fire Academy Basic” major. Only some of the courses are approved:

Hours in Cooperative Agreement = 513 clock hours Hours in “Fire Academy Basic” = 827 clock hours 513 / 827 = 62.03% of career major $1,020 x 62.03% = $632.70 rounded up to $633

Firefighter I & II = 248 hours MFP 2727 Fire Fighter I = 7 hours

Retroactive OKPromise

Student asked for the scholarship for EMT Paramedic beginning August 1st for Fall.

Her eligibility expired on July 31st. Student had completed and paid for both EMT Basic

and EMT Advanced in Spring and Summer. EMT Advanced end date was July 23rd. Basic and Advanced are half-time so student received

$510 for Basic and $510 for Advanced.
