Fellow Martial Artists, Nominator and NomineeWe thank you for taking the interest and time to read this information pack about the Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame Incorporated. (AMAHOF) AMAHOF was established in Australasiaof Fame based in America, thus joining a worldwide organisation. The principle purpose is to pay homage and bestow recognition upon those who have made an outstanding contribution to the world of the martial arts throughout the region. Our purpose is to give recognition and honour to those who never take time out to honour themselves for their outstanding contribution or tireless dedication. Nominations can originate from family, friends, instructors, peers the person being nominated is worthy of such an honour, therefore candidates are nominated on merit and performance. AMAHOF follows the principles of nonopportunity, thus favouritism, sex, politics, origbearing on the final selection of an honouree. With normally a maximum of 15 people inducted in any calendar year, your nominee/nomination if accepted will become part of a very select group of outstanding individuals. The person you nominate should fit within one or more of the following categories (final choice will be determined by the Executive Committee) Category: Life-Time Achievement
Award Citation: A Martial Artist displaying over 35 years of continuoarts development, having achieved a high level within at least one martial art while continuing to demonstrate the highest levels of experience, skill, knowledge, instructional ability, administration, professionalism and leadership wto support the development of martial arts and the mentoring and empowerment of others.
Category: Martial Artist of the YearAward Citation: A Martial Artist displaying over 25 years of continuous service, signcontributing to martial arts development, achieving a minimum of Yondan (4equivalent) in a martial art and having demonstrated a consistently high level of performance as a Martial Artist and as an instructor displaying experience, skilability, administration and leadership that promote the development of martial arts and imbuing such qualities within others.
Category: Instructor of the YearAward Citation: A Martial Artist displaying over 20 years of continudevelopment achieving a minimum of Yondan (4demonstrating highly developed skills as a Martial Artist while displaying the qualities of an instructor at consistently high levels of experienadministration.
Category: Budoka of the YearAward Citation: A Martial Artist displaying over 15 years of continuous service to martial arts development, achieving a minimum of Sandan (3consistently demonstrated experience, skills, knowledge, instructional ability and administration that has supported the development of martial arts.
Category: Support to Martial Arts Award citation: A person dmodalities that support martial artists and other sporting bodies with a form of medicine to relieve symptoms of injury or illness that improves their performance or expedites their return to full practice.
