IRR 3.0 GENERAL CONTEST RULES AND MECHANICS
IRR 3.1 The MAS Challenge shall be a 2-hour written academic competition on all
topics covered by Management Advisory Services.
IRR 3.2 The monitoring personnel shall be composed of arbiters from the
sponsoring firm as well as assigned persons empowered by the Regional
Vice President for Academics.
IRR 3.3 Any contestant caught cheating is considered disqualified in the
competition.
IRR 3.4 All questions regarding the competition must be directed solely to the
arbiters.
IRR 3.5 Contestants are to bring to the venue at least but not limited to two (2)
Mongol 2 pencils, two (2) black pens, one (1) eraser, one (1) sharpener,
and one (1) calculator with the jacket removed and deposited to the
arbiters.
IRR 3.6 Contestants are advised to be at their designated seats twenty (20)
minutes before the scheduled time of the competition.
IRR 3.7 The arbiters shall orient the contestants on how to answer the given
questionnaires and/or answer sheets ten (10) minutes before the official
start time of the competition. Questions and clarifications regarding the
mechanics of the competition shall be entertained during this time period.
IRR 3.8 Tardy contestants may still be eligible to join the competition provided they
have complied with the requirements stated in IRR 2.3. However, no time
extension will be granted to tardy contestants.
IRR 3.9 Once the time has elapsed, contestants are to pass their papers to thearbiters regardless if they have successfully finished answering or not.
Contestants who fail to pass their papers at the elapse of the given time
period will be given a 5-point deduction for every minute past the
designated time period.
IRR 3.10 The sponsoring firm shall be responsible for tabulating the results of the
competition and communicating the same to the Regional Vice President
for Academics before the recognition of winners.
IRR 3.11 The top three (3) contestants with the highest points shall advance to the
national competition.
