Agriculture
Agriculture, also called farmingor
husbandry, is the cultivation of animals, plants,
and other life forms for food, fiber, biofueland
other products used to sustain life.Agriculture
was the key development in the rise of human
civilization, whereby farming of domesticated
species created food surplusesthat nurtured thedevelopment of civilization. The study of
agriculture is known as agricultural science.

fishery in India
India is ranked second after China for inland fishery sector Fishery contributes significantly to the agriculture (5.4%
GDP) and marginally to the national economy (1.04%
GDP).
The GDP contribution from fisheries sector has reached
Rs.29, 707 crore (GBP 372 Bl.) in 2004-05 from Rs.245
crore(GBP 3 Bl.) in the year 1970-71.
Indian share in global production has reached 4.36% per
cent with 9.92% in inland and 2.8% in marine.
The fisheries sector has been providing employment to
over 2 Million fishermen through fishing operations.

Oxygen cycle
The oxygen cycle is the biogeochemical cycle
that describes the movement of oxygen within and
between its three main reservoirs: the atmosphere (air),
the biosphere (living things), and the lithosphere(Earth's crust).
The main driving factor of the oxygen cycle is
photosynthesis, which is responsible for the modern
Earth's atmosphere and life.

The Oxygen Cycle(cont..)
Almost all living things need oxygen. They
use this oxygen during the process of creating
energy in living cells.

Just as water moves from the sky to the
earth and back in the hydrologic cycle, oxygen is
also cycled through the environment. Plants
mark the beginning of the oxygen cycle. Plantsare able to use the energy of sunlight to convert
carbon dioxide and water into carbohydrates
and oxygen in a process called photosynthesis. This means that plants "breathe" in carbon
dioxide and "breathe" out oxygen.
