Gerund (stop)Gerunds are words that are formed with verbs but act as nouns (名詞). We simply add - ing after a verb.

verbs +ing gerunds

play play + ing playing

eat eat + ing eating

do do + ing doing

We can use gerunds after the verb “stop”

For example

1. We should stop leaving the lights on.

2. We should stop leaving the tap on.

3. We should stop having baths.
