You and your friends want to start your

own band. However, you have never

played in a band before. You write an e-

mail to Freddy for his advice. The e-mail

is started for you, but you have to finish it.

My name is Li Hua. I’m beginning a band

with my friends. However, we have never

been in a band before. Can you please giv

play.

The erhu is a very old instrument in C

hina. An early form if the erhu could be

found in the Tang Dynasty. It is made of

wood and has two metal strings.

Xu Ke is my favourite erhu player and

he is famous throughout the world. I have

even heard him play Western classical m

usic for a violin on his erhu. It sounded ve

ry beautiful.
