INTRODUCING VANCOUVER
Vancouver is a naturally beautiful city located between the breathtaking snow-capped Coast Mountains and the
Pacific Ocean. This thriving cosmopolitan city has over 200 parks with the most famous, Stanley Park, being one of the
largest urban parks in the world at 3.9 square kilometers.
Vancouver is also home to a variety of historic buildings, museums and interesting sightseeing opportunities.
Vancouver has repeatedly been recognized as one of the worlds best places to live, for good reason! With a mild
climate, diverse population, vibrant cultural scene, and stunning natural beauty, Vancouver truly deserves its world
class reputation!
Location and Climate
Vancouver is located on Canadas West Coast, about 50km north of the United States border. It is the largest city in
the Province of British Columbia and the third largest city in Canada.
Vancouver is located directly beside the Pacific Ocean which provides cooling sea breezes in the summer and keeps
the climate mild in the winter. Although the surrounding mountains have snowy peaks from November to May,
snowfalls are uncommon in the city. Vancouver enjoys a mild climate all year-round, with all four seasons offering
different possibilities for adventure and discovery.

festivals throughout the year. The city is also internationally known for its affordable and innovative restaurants
featuring cuisines from around the world.
The social scene in Vancouver offers everything from hip lounges and clubs to laid-back pubs and live music venues.Local bands and international artists perform regularly at clubs and venues around town.

and Millennium Lineslink downtown to the eastern
suburbs of Burnaby, New Westminster, and Surrey. Thethird line connects downtown Vancouver to central
Richmond and the Vancouver International Airport. It is
called the Canada Line and was completed in August
2009 for the Winter Olympics. For more information on
